Who We Are
Co-founders: Dan McComb and Lara Eve Feltin
We started Biznik in Seattle in 2005 as a way to solve our own networking problem. Dan built the first version of the website in his spare time, and Lara hosted events. Before long, we had more work than we knew what to do with, and so did many of the original members. Lara currently heads up the business operations side of Biznik, while Dan serves as chief content editor. We share the responsibility for shaping the future direction of Biznik.
Lead Developer: John Adair
John's one of those rare developers: fluent in multiple programming languages, and also an ivy league educated artist who makes films in his spare time. He writes the code that makes Biznik tick.
Web Developer: Matt McCormick
With a graduate degree in computer science and years of experience at Microsoft, Matt brings his formidable development and management skills to bear as a contract developer for Biznik.
Community Catalyst: Leif Hansen
Leif Hansen brings his background as a social media consultant and passion for community building to Biznik, where he is responsible for fostering community relationships and partnerships, as well as spreading the word about Biznik.
Administrative Assistant: Amanda Nokes
Amanda makes sure the bills get paid on time, events get reviewed and approved in a timely way, and a thousand-and-one other office tasks that would otherwise never get done.
Ambassador Manager: Joe Shirley
Joe has been a member of Biznik from the very beginning, and has himself hosted many events. He stays on top of Biznik's Ambassador program to ensure Biznik's growth in communities outside of Seattle.
