You're in a meeting but you feel a million miles away because you're just at your wits end with your children. You are busy on a project. The phone rings, it's the school; there's a problem with your child. A few days later; the phone rings again at work, and you listen again to yet another list of difficulties at home with the children. Sound familiar? Many parents experience stress at work due to concerns over issues with their children.

Wouldn't you rather be able to focus on work at work and then REALLY enjoy your children when you're at home? Perhaps you've noticed that your children capture your attention one way or another. You come home from a busy day and all you want is 15 peaceful minutes to un-wind. The children choose this moment to start a fight. If only there was SOMETHING you could say when you come in the door that will "cool their jets". Guess what?" There is! Yes, you can change the quality of your relationship with your children NOW so you won't lose your job or have to change the locks on your doors later. Here is my 15 minute solution:

SPECIAL TIME

Special Time will change your lives forever.

Special Time is simple but not easy,

Three simple steps to "Special Time" with your children and peace of mind at work:

1. Special Time is; 15 minutes of uninterrupted time between your SELF and each child every day where your child is the exclusive focus;

2. Special Time means: No phones, no "others" and no ego;

3. Special Time needs: Just the authentic "you", spending 15 minutes with your child doing or being what that child wants from you.

This is the magic formula of Special Time! 15 minutes with each child and every day, no matter what. Better: 15 minutes Special Time between each child and each adult each day, but NOT both parents at the same time with one child…that’s Family Time and that’s different! Note: I do NOT recommend that you use anything electronic with a screen during Special Time. Why? Really?

Here is the part that is hard for some egos to hear. You will either spend this kind of time with your children, or later on (maybe not-so-later) you WILL spend the not-so-sweet and even MORE inconvenient time with them. This is the kind of time you may already know about....time in the principal's office, etc.

Your Special Time with your children can start today. You don't need any training, books, experts, permission, or pricey therapists.

Special Time combines the authentic content of "being present" with a do-able daily routine. I could write a book on the positive results Special Time produces, but this is my gift to YOU!!

Try it. You may have questions, and that's OK, you can e-mail me at JudyAMcNutt@msn.com. What will all this cost you? Just pass along my name as a quality tutor if you happen to hear of someone who needs academic support on the home front. I cover the kids so they can concentrate at work. Oh yes! I almost forgot. “If only there was SOMETHING you could say when you come in the door that will "cool their jets".” Guess what?" There is! “Hi, it’s so good to be home. Be thinking what you want to do while I get ready, ‘cuz in 15 minutes it’s Special Time for just you and me! Do I need my tennis shoes?”, you call out as you breeze down the hall!
