Activate Your Internal GPS: Greenlight the Highest Purpose of Your Business

Your internal GPS: the way your body and your essential self communicate with you about what resonates with your business' highest purpose. Great decisions are at the core of every successful small business. So it is absolutely crucial to have a way to access your guidance. When you choose to heed the messages of that still small voice within, you will avoid spending unnecessary time, energy, money driving down dead end streets.

How will you know when you are headed in the right direction? You may get the chills, a warm feeling in your heart, or feel uplifting energy flow through your body. You may just "know" in a quiet, but confident way. You may have a dream in which you are happily moving forward in the direction you've been wondering about. When you consult with a trusted colleague and ask for feedback, they respond with enthusiasm. You may notice that as they speak, you begin to receive even more insight into the potential for your idea to really take off. You are enlivened by the conversation and easily move toward action. You may begin to experience spontaneous signs--on license plates, in nature, in an overheard conversation, or direct messages through personal contact, which help point you toward a solution you hadn't previously considered.

An example from my own life: I was recently asking for guidance about how to enliven my healing business. Within a two-week span, a friend offered to do Pranic Healing on me, which had a very powerful effect. Then, a woman I met at a workshop in Chicago spoke at length about the potency of Pranic Healing, and encouraged me to take the training myself. I listened and signed up.

I find that when I am on track with my highest purpose, I will hit a whole string of green lights in a row. Once I commit to taking the route my Internal GPS has led me to, my willingness to take intuitively led action creates an energetic attractor, which brings invitations to share my gift with the world around me. Saying "yes" to these opportunities feels natural and the actions I take uplift my spirits and don't feel like "work". As I learn to trust this process more over time, it becomes easier to discern what signs to follow. It takes practice, and the time I put into it increases the quality of my life tenfold.

The more you learn how to activate your Internal GPS, decode its messages and follow its instructions, the more opportunities will present themselves for you to bring your gifts forward. This will lead you to discover the place "where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet".(Beuchner) When you follow your inner wisdom, your longings will "click" with the essential needs of your clients.

I encourage you to carve out a little time each day to sit with the questions you have about developing your business to consciously activate your Internal GPS. It will be well worth it!
