  <body>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;Editor's note: This article is a response to an article previously published on Biznik, &lt;a href=&quot;how-hot-women-make-women-and-men-feel-bad&quot;&gt;How HOT Women Make Women and Men Feel Bad&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I feel confident that there were some brilliant minds, conclusive studies and a lot of statistics that&amp;nbsp;determined that one of the things that drive peoples purchases is the desire to stand out, to be admired and to be better off than others.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;So the models, they glare down at us from the pages with a look of contempt.&amp;nbsp; Oh&amp;hellip; if only&amp;nbsp;we had what they have, then we&amp;rsquo;d be the ones looking down at others, then we&amp;rsquo;d be the ones who are&amp;nbsp;admired.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;However, I am finding that&amp;nbsp; many of the structures that define success, and that evokes admiration are changing.&amp;nbsp; The very weave of reality seems to be falling apart.&amp;nbsp; Every structure is being questioned and restructured&amp;hellip;. and not all that quietly.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Our perception and understanding of: Race, Money, the Financial Market, Religion, Politics, the School System, Healthcare, Health, our Global Responsibility&amp;hellip; even the Weather.&amp;nbsp; Nothing seems to be exempt from these restructurings.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;We are moving away from a hierarchic society and moving towards a communal society.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As history will tell us nothing ever stops moving.&amp;nbsp; All societies have different structures based on a consensus of beliefs, and these structures always morph in one direction, or another.&amp;nbsp; Some have illustrated this as a pendulum, showing that a society will move in one direction until, at some point, it reaches its absurdum, and then the pendulum will swing back.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I&amp;rsquo;d like to think that we are not going back and forth, that it&amp;rsquo;s not a pendulum per se, but more like a spiral, and that each time we come back to the same spot, we&amp;rsquo;re at a slightly different place of understanding.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;It seems clear to me that we&amp;rsquo;ve gotten as far as we can with our beliefs of being separate, (separate from God, separate from each other, even separate from our own emotions).&amp;nbsp; We simply cannot go any further, and the only other option is to begin to weave community, bringing our resources together, seeing our interconnectedness and start to realize the strength and beauty of working together.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As history will also tell us, at the pivotal point of change, there is great upheaval.&amp;nbsp; There are those who will adjust well, and there are those who won&amp;rsquo;t.&amp;nbsp; Adjusting well in times of upheaval requires being in touch with a deeper awareness of reality, and also being able to hold a creative vision&amp;hellip;. I&amp;rsquo;d say the Auto Industry&amp;hellip; we&amp;rsquo;ll we need not go there.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;When it comes to offering things to the public that they desire, it greatly depends on who they desire to be, and&lt;span&gt;&amp;nbsp;a&lt;/span&gt;s I see it, in a near future, the people who will be sought after are the ones who have found ways to manage their lives, and who are managing their lives well.&amp;nbsp; Who in the midst of this chaos is finding peace and balance. They are managing their relationships successfully, their money, their time, their children, their mental and physical health&amp;hellip; These are the ones who will attract the attention of the crowds.&amp;nbsp; People will seek them out wanting to learn their secret.&amp;nbsp; And as we are, if I&amp;rsquo;m correct, moving towards a communal society, those people will be more than happy to share.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I believe the time of selling products through &amp;ldquo;scare tactic&amp;rsquo;s&amp;rdquo;, is coming to its end.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&amp;ldquo;Scare tactics&amp;rdquo; which sounds something like: &amp;ldquo;First let me tell you about the things you need to worry about, and why. Then allow me to share with you the solution, which incidentally I happen to have.&amp;nbsp; Whether it is concern for your health, for your children&amp;rsquo;s future, or for your place in society, I will find a place to attract this product to you from your place of fear.&amp;rdquo;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;In the future, I believe, you are much more likely to attract attention if you are able to offer people something that will help them manage their lives better.&amp;nbsp; And no, I am not referring to the word &amp;ldquo;convenient&amp;rdquo;, it is not simply about the distribution of time, it is about the quality of time.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My prediction is that within less than a generation, those models will enjoy actual meals, and we will find them smiling back at us, through the pages.&lt;/p&gt;</body>
