It’s one of the most highly valued and emotionally charged documents ever written. The words were chosen with great care and distinction by the one who forged it with quill and India ink. Penned in the late 1700’s, it was signed by a host of men who resolved to give their very lives, if required, to uphold their commitment to the cause. We know it as The Declaration of Independence.

Jefferson began this journey into history with a simple phrase:

“When in the course of human events…”

Think on that for a second. The course of human events! That’s where we live. That’s where we breathe. Our day begins and ends, never leaving that arena.

                                                                     Read More Here

The body of this article is posted in its entirity on my blog page, A Splinter in the Mind's Eye, hosted by WordPress.

This is an effort to avoid duplication of articles and blogs that have been written in the past and in some cases posted to both sites.

I also wanted to make some of the things written and posted at A Splinter in the Mind's Eye that do not fall within the scope and guidelines for article submission more readily available for review and comment.

Postings at A Splinter in the Mind's Eye include, but are not limited to:

The Ten Things I Believe Series

Ten Things I Believe About Love and Kindness

“For now, we see through a glass, darkly. . .
But then. . . face to face.
Now, I know in part. . .
But then. . . I shall know; even as I am known.
And now abideth faith. . . hope. . . and love. . . these three.
But the greatest of these. . . is love.”
                                                       - Paul

Ten Things I Believe To Be Undeniable

I believe that while we cannot control everything that happens to us, we do possess the power to control how we react to it. Life is little bits and pieces of what happens to us mixed inextricably with much larger bits and pieces of how we respond. EVERY day you can CHOOSE your attitude.

Ten Things I Believe About Possibilities

There is no goal that is impossible to achieve if you possess enough determination and patience. There is nothing that can possibly keep two people apart who truly want to be together more than they want anything else.

Ten Things I Believe About God and the Bible

If God created everything that we have come to know as reality, he also created things of which we have no knowledge.

If God created the heaven and the earth, and all things that inhabit both, he did so in six days; six literal 24 hour days. And, he didn’t do it “millions of years ago”

Ten Things I Believe To Be Underappreciated

I believe that it is difficult to truly appreciate advice from someone who has been through really tough times, until we are challenged by a genuinely demanding experience of our own.

Other Series Include:

Emotional Ghosts

Evaluation and Inspiration

Back to Basics

Pathway of Parables

I invite you to come, visit, and share your thoughts and comments.
