"Fierce competition is growing
The direction I should be going
Is doing what my competition neglects
And giving more than my customer expects
Guarantees my niche is always showing."
-Primm

The online marketplace is growing more crowded everyday. It’s getting harder for your prospective customers to tell the difference between your business, product or service ... and others similar to yours.

To the average person a slew of products and services are sounding, looking and acting more alike than ever. Especially to people who are outside your industry.

That’s why the niche you first started your business with may not be as strong now as it was before because …

1. Your customers have grown used to it.

2. You may have picked up more competitors.

3. Your competition may have grown stronger.

As a result, your prospective customers could be unclear of the differences in your product or service in comparison to others. And confused or unclear people don’t buy.

That’s why you need to make sure your niche is showing like a beaming star on a dark night.

You need to make sure your product or service has that "something" that separates yours from the growing heard of competition.

The Best Way to Make Sure Your Niche is Showing is to Follow The 3 Golden Rules.

1. Do Something Your Competition Doesn’t Like To Do.
This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to quickly separate yourself from the heard.

Simply make a list of actions your competition doesn’t like to do - and start doing them. Start with the one you can do the easiest. Your customers and prospects will soon take notice. Try it and you’ll see what I mean.

2. Do Something Faster Than Your Competition.
When your customer decides he wants or needs something he wants it fast … or at least as fast as possible. Don’t you? When you wanted a product or a service and they delivered it to you faster than you expected were you pleased? Of course you were.

So, make a list of task you can perform faster than your competition. It doesn’t have to be a big task.

Sometimes it’s the little actions customers remember the most. For example, answering the phone on the third ring, faster responses to your help desk or quicker downloads. The list is endless when you focus your attention on it.

3. Go The Extra Mile ... Cheerfully!
This is a huge time-tested solution to separating yourself from the crowd. With more businesses trying to get more profits for less effort, you can stand out like a beacon tower on a foggy night.

Doing more than your customer expects is a sure-fire way to outshine your competition. Make a list of actions you can do to go the extra mile. Pick the best one and start going the extra mile.

Yes, these guidelines are simple to do. That’s part of the enormous power behind them. Simplicity is behind every long-standing principle of success.

1. They're easy to do.
2. It cost nothing to start.
3. The results are long lasting.

That’s the secret formula for success in anything you choose to do.

By taking the small amount of time and effort to follow "The 3 Golden Rules" you can be confident your niche will always be showing.

Great advice. In this fast paced world, it is important to do things quickly, and stay ahead of your competition. But as you point out, going the extra mile CHEERFULLY can sometimes make all the difference in the world. I always have a much better experience when I deal with happy people.
