From the Dawn of time, man has always wanted to achieve something better, better than what he sees in his surroundings, to set a goal and to tackle it, like a Lineman tackles a quarterback on any given Sunday. There is no being that is more competitive or more ruthless than man. So how do we compete, in a give-and-take society? What makes one person better than the next?
Knowledge, knowledge, knowledge that is the key to it all, of course it's what and how we learn that determines are level of skill but how we perceive what we've learned is the true judge of skill.
Skill is what enables us to use are knowledge as a tool, just as a mechanic has many tools to do his job.
As competitors we in society have many different tools to do our jobs as well.
Most of us tried to climb the ladder of success but failed by being knocked off kicked off or just plain fell off due to not being aware of our weaknesses, so by being competitive we climb again our arms and legs tired but we do it because it's in our blood. Only to take that swan dive again and again. The best way to stay on top in a competitive world is to use the G.O.D rule. "Goals, operations and diplomacy. You'll want to cover your bases on this one.
First rule: Goals, visualize a plan before implementing one stay in tune with reality by setting your goals to be as realistic as possible this is the one that always gets us.
Second rule: Operations, be able to identify problems and formulate solutions that work, look at what a good model is and follow it.
Third rule: Diplomacy, no matter your intention always conduct yourself in an appropriate manner and hold yourself to a higher standard, debate, do not argue.
In the event that you have to deviate from your original objective always have an alternate objective.
Consider what would happen if you fail what are the consequences down the road?
If you fail you must have a damage control plan to be implemented immediately upon any failure.
When you think your job is fun your seat is already gone, there is no time for fun in business, the moment you let off the gas pedal you will have someone else write up your bumper taking your job.
Do not fall into a situation that will inhibit your ability to succeed in your objectives and finally there is finding leads to optimize your odds of accomplishing your goals, no matter how small the lead is, a lead is a lead. All that information that you can find will enable you to add that edge over everyone else.
What ever it is that you want, you will have to conquer it, you must have a plan, you will first have to target your objective, put it in your crosshairs and aim if anything is left standing you will want to use plan B.
What I am trying to say is that you have to be focused and never ever give up on you dreams.
Good Day !
