<p>Business owners definitely do not lack options to collect money online.  A quick overview of what's out there and what is the cost associated to each one. </p> <p>Here are are seven different ways you may want to consider:</p> <p><b>1) Paypal</b> - <a href="http://www.paypal.com">www.paypal.com</a><br>Paypal allows anyone to pay in any way they prefer, including throughcredit cards, bank accounts, buyer credit or account balances, withoutsharing financial information.</p> <p><b>Cost:</b> Setup Fee: $0. </p> <p><b>Transaction Fee: </b>Minimum 2.9% + $0.30 USD   </p> <p><b>Minimal collection:</b> None</p> <p><b>2) Google Checkout</b> - <a href="http://checkout.google.com">http://checkout.google.com</a><br>Google Checkout allows anyone to pay in credit cards.</p> <p><b>Cost:</b> Setup Fee: $0. </p> <p><b>Transaction Fee: </b>2.0% and$0.20. At checkout,provide your birthday and the last four digits of your social securitynumber and your purchase is complete.</p> <p><b>Cost:</b> Unknown (you have to apply before you find out)</p> <p><b>Minimal collection:</b> Unknown</p> <p><b>5) Prosper</b> - <a href="http://www.prosper.com/">http://www.prosper.com/</a><br>Prosper is a people-to-people lending marketplace. Instead of listingand bidding on items, people list and bid on loans using Prosper’sonline auction platform.</p> <p><b>Cost:</b> Setup Fee: $0. </p> <p><b>Transaction Fee:</b> For Borrower, 2-3% closing fee or $75, whichever is greater. </p> <p><b>Minimal Amount:</b> None</p> <p><b>6) Fundable</b> - <a href="http://www.fundable.com/">http://www.fundable.com/</a><br>Fundable.com lets groups of people pool funds to make purchases orraise money. Each project has a description of how much money needs tobe collected and what it will do. Once enough pledges (not payments)have been collected, Fundable turns them into real payments and sendsthe total to the project’s organizer.</p> <p><b>Cost:</b> Setup Fee: $0. </p> <p><b>Transaction Fee: </b>10% fee taken from their totals </p> <p><b>Minimal Amount:</b> $100</p> <p><b>7) Chipin</b> - <a href="http://www.chipin.com/">http://www.chipin.com/</a><br>ChipIn allows anyone to collect money for a personal cause, group purchase, or fundraiser using their own custom ChipIn page.</p> <p><b>Cost:</b> Setup Fee: $0. </p> <p><b>Transaction Fee:</b> ChipIn doesnot charge any fees to organizers and contributors of events that sendpayments directly to the Organizer’s PayPal account. However, PayPalPremier or Business accounts may be subject to fees from PayPal. </p> <p><b>Minimal Amount:</b> $0</p> <p><b>8) Eventbrite</b> - <a href="http://www.eventbrite.com/">http://www.eventbrite.com/</a><br>Eventbrite provides an easy way for event organizers to collect money online.  Eventbrite is free if your event is free. If you sell tickets to your event, Eventbrite collects a <a href="http://www.eventbrite.com/fees">small fee</a> per ticket. So just like you, Eventbrite wants your event to be a big success.</p> <p><b>Cost:</b> Setup Fee: $0. </p> <p><b>Transaction Fee: </b>$0.99 per ticket plus Paypal or Goolge fee</p> <p><b>Minimal Amount:</b> $0</p> <p>I personally have used Paypal, Google Checkout and Eventbrite.  I love all three and they all work together really well.
