Internet marketing that follows the highest standards of quality and integrity deserves recognition. Here's a short list of businesses large and small that display nobility on their websites: honor, high-mindedness and magnitude. They conduct their marketing with generosity, honesty, great soul, and adhere to the principles they promote. Not surprizingly, some are fellow Bizniks. To them, I bestow the unofficial Noble Prize for Website Marketing.

(Note: those that use tactics like "I can't hold this low, low price of $299,995.95 much longer!" automatically render themselves ineligible for the Noble Prize.)

1. Dawud Miracle - http://dmiracle.com

On his website, Biznik member Dawud shares everything he knows about business-building through an interactive blog, never suggesting anything that he hasn't test-run himself. As for his services, he does what he says he will do. Knowing that authenticity is of paramount importance to me, Dawud guided me in creating ny own copy and designed a simple and elegant website for my company that clearly showcases and positions my services while conveying who I really am.

2. Cooking.com

This isn't just an online store, it's a community. As such, Cooking.com stands behind the products it sells and consistently offers the best prices for them. Customer feedback is published as is, uncensored, which is so, so very helpful when there are so many items from which to choose and so much marketing hype and misinformation out there. The site is user-friendly, informative, and comprehensive; if they don't have it, you don't need it. I love this place!

3. Byron Katie - http:www.thework.com

Katie gives away her unique self-inquiry process and the materials needed to do it, and requires no sign-up to download any of the free materials. There's no hard sell for any additional products and services, because there is none needed; we're convinced. Impeccable.

4. NapaStyle - http://www.napastyle.com/home.jsp

This is a small retail chain that I love for its beautiful store layouts, fun events and fairly priced, fine merchandise (plus delicious free food samples!). They also have a beautifully produced catalog. NapaStyle's website is a perfect reflection of the store's hospitable personality and the vision of its founder, food and wine expert and television personality Michael Chiarello. It manages to include recipes, a blog, membership opportunities and more without being overwhelming or hard-sell. Kudos!

5. Johanna Wise-Levine - http://www.wisetouch.net

This is the very simple yet effective and completely honest website of my massage therapist...proving that bells and whistles are not necessary for solid, effective, and successful web presence.

6. Molly Gordon, Authentic Promotion - http://www.authenticpromotion.com/index.html

Fellow Biznik member Molly Gordon's site is chockful of information, yet entirely user-friendly, with step-by-step instructions on the home page on how to best find and use everything she offers. The copy clearly tells you who Molly is and what she's about; what you see is what you get (lots). In addition to her products and services, she provides tons of free stuff in the form of articles, free downloads, useful links, and resource lists. A most useful and generous website.

Direct us to your favorite Noble Prize-worthy websites in the comments below!
