Now that is one of the best articles yet. Probably because I have been teaching this for over 25 years. I think people are just starting to get it. Why has it taken so long? Good job in getting the word out....Jack

The Power of Intention - What Do You Want?
If you don’t know what you want – you will never get it! Whatever it is you are seeking, you have to define it exactly to yourself, or it'll never sound clear to the person you are trying to connect with.
For years, I have been signing all of my business and personal correspondence “Live Deliberately”, and when I opened my matchmaking business, it has turned into “Pursue Love Deliberately”.
What is the meaning of an Intention? Most of us are used to thinking of Intention as something you do, but rather it is a force that exists in the Universe as an invisible field of energy. We all have it, it is within us. Intention is a field of energy that flows invisibly through our normal, everyday, habitual patterns.
The power of intention is more powerful than your business skills, education, experience, connections or opportunities. You might have a fantastic business plan on a paper but fail in real life just because your intention was unclear, and you didn’t recognize an opportunity when it came to you. Whatever it is you are seeking, you have to define it exactly to yourself, or it will never sound clear to the person you are trying to connect with.
We all read a lot of articles about how to build our business, the marketing and communication skills we need to help our business grow and to increase the flow of clients. The problem is - when you focus on HOW – you will get overwhevelmed with activities, which the universe will send to you to fulfill your request. When you focus on RESULTS – WHAT you have to offer and what kind of difference it can make for OTHERS – the Universe will send you back the results – satisfied clients, closed deals, and strong long term relationships.
Be careful with your intention though. Do you want to be more organized? You will attract more chaos and mess, so you could have a better chance to practice being more organized. Do you want to be more patient? You will get more painful situations into your life which will exicise your patience just as you asked for. Instead, imagine what you desire; envision it as a result, but in a bigger way, a greater capacity, an expanded version, something bigger than yourself, and you will increase it's capacity to manifest. This is the Law if Attraction in the highest form.
I want to share with you the 8 point plan written by Mother Teresa of Calcutta, something which I always keep next to my desk. Practice it in your life – practice it in your business, practice it while networking, practice it with your loved ones... and it will bring into your life EVERYTHING YOU WANT:
1. People are often unreasonable, illogical and self centered –
Forgive them anyway
2. If you are kind, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives
Be kind anyway
3. If you are successful, you will win some false friends and some true enemies –
Succeed anyway
4. If you are honest and frank, people may cheat you –
Be honest and frank anyway
5. What you spend years building, someone may destroy overnight
Build anyway
6. If you find serenity and happiness, they might be jealous –
Be happy anyway
7. The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow –
Do good anyway
8. Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough –
Give the world the best you got anyway
You see, in the final analysis, it is all between you and God – It has never been between you and them anyway…

Wonderful. Thanks for reprinting Mother Teresa's "formula." It's not unlike the Prayer of Saint Francis:
Lord, make me a channel of thy peace; that where there is hatred, I may bring love; that where there is wrong, I may bring the spirit of forgiveness; that where there is discord, I may bring harmony; that where there is error, I may bring truth; that where there is doubt, I may bring faith; that where there is despair, I may bring hope; that where there are shadows, I may bring light; that where there is sadness, I may bring joy.
Lord, grant that I may seek rather to comfort than to be comforted; to understand, than to be understood; to love, than to be loved. For it is by self-forgetting that one finds. It is by forgiving that one is forgiven. It is by dying that one awakens to eternal life.
One needn't be religious to experience the freedom and joy that living that brings.
