Seattle Community

Event description

Meet the fabulous free agents who make Biznik the business networking group that doesn't suck. This ain't no room full of business-card-pushing suits -- it's a permission slip to blur the line between work and play over coffee, beer and wine, conversation and appies at Tomie Stone and Leigh Stone's new cafe in the area just south of the new South Lake Union condos. (Behind the ReBar for you urban Seattle club kids.) Bizniks get happy hour prices all evening long.

The space is large, but not huge. We're capping reservations at 50. If less than 50 reserve a spot, feel free to stop by without making a reservation.

I'd love to see Leigh & Tommie's recent project (copper walk-in, concrete countertops and all)and I wish I could RSVP, but I'll be snowboarding all day and might not make it back in time!

    Apples??

It's a beautiful new spot. Tomie runs the general contracting company called Stasis, Inc. and is responsible for the interiors of Tango Tapas Restaurant on Boren and Pike (where Dan and I just celebrated our second wedding anniversary) and of Umi Sake House on First in Belltown, in addition to some beautiful homes.

Caffeine Cafe is definitely worth checking out if you can't make it to this event.

How long does this event last? I cannot make it at 6pm but could be there a bit later, perhaps 7.

I too won't be able to make it until around 6:30 but am looking forward to meeting others and getting ideas on how to get my business up and running. I echo Robert's nervousness as this is my first time venturing out there in the business world and making myself get to know others!

    Cheers.

Didn't anyone tell Robert that you buy everyone a round of drinks at your first meeting???? ;)
(I only wish, that would be an awesome perk for the established folk!!!)

    Look forward to seeing everyone.

I was crushed to miss this! But, being as totally grungy at 7:30 (spent the day mucking out a client's garage ~ uugh!) there was np way to shine up in time and conenct with all of you. Hope it was fabulous ~ and sorry to take a space in a limited space event. I even had my cheat sheet for the people I wanted to seek out and talk to!

    Next time . . . .
