The Alt-crew - Night Owls

The Spitfire grill has been the site of the Alt-Crew's happy hour networking for a year now. This novemeber we will be celebrating one year of nearly monthly meetings for the Alt-Crew.

What is the Alt-crew? Just a bunch of indie business owners who want to chill with a drink and a good conversation with other progressive, edgy and open-minded business owners.

It's not about handing out cards - it's about expressing your genuine self, in a safe place and getting some business done in the process.

  I'll be attending "Soul City Monday's" at the War Room on Capitol Hill about 10:30 or 11:00 pm after the Spitfire if anyone wants to meet me there! It's an AMAZING night of breakdancing, live hip-hop/funk DJ's, and live drumming! It's only $5.

  This was our first attendance at a Biznik event which my wife Julie and I found most rewarding. It was a pleasure to meet and converse with so many new people. We look forward to having the opportunity to attend similar future events or to meet socially. Thanks to Sierra for being an attentive facilitator and to Vickey for the initial introduction.

  so cool!

  Just what I needed this last monday. What's really special is that this attendance does not reflect the additional 5 people that were there. 2 biznik attendees brought 1 guest, and there were 4 non-biznik members that showed up... one's been coming since the beginning last year.

  I'm taking a break in December from doing this event. It will start up again in January. In february we Might have it at a different location - a comedy club owned by a fellow biznik lass... Julie Mains
