Great to see you hosting an event, Keith. Like you said, why guzzle gas in traffic when you could be guzzling cocktails with exotic names close to home and meeting new friends and potential business associates at the same time .. keep it indie and local.
First South King County and North Pierce County Happy Hour
Hosted by Keith Gormezano in Kent, Washington
When: Monday, June 18 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM
Fee: Free
Event description
Why fight traffic and spend your hard earned money on gas trying to get to one of the Seattle or Eastside happy hours when you can meet your fellow Biznik members in South Seattle and King County and North Pierce County close to home. Perhaps, you'll host the next one?
Join us for Seattle water, pop, wine, beer, and $4.50 Duketails (cocktails) and $3.95 happy hour finger food specials as we take over the bar area and maybe the 30 seat outside seating if the weather is warm enough.
Duketails include the following: Kamakazi - Invented here at Duke's by Mark Kobayashi, Raspberry Vanilla Kazi, Peomegranita, Orange Mojito, Poma Kazi, Guava Kazi, Cosmopolitan, Smirnoff Cranberry, Cucumber Mojito (voted most refreshing cocktail in Seattle), Imperfect 'Scratch' Margarita, and Strawberry Lemon Drop.
Appetizers feature the following: Dangerously "Killer" Prawns, Chicken Quesadilla, Coconut Prawns, Steamers: fresh Washington Manila clams , Dungeness Crab Dip, Calamari Steak Strips, Tuna Wasabi Quesadilla, Seafood Ceviche, and my favorite --Lightly Blackened wild Salmon on a bed of Romaine topped with a cucumber wasabi sauce.
A complete copy of Duke's tasty happy hour menu which ends at 6 PM so get there early can be found at http://www.dukeschowderhouse.com/documents/happyhour_final.pdf.
Any if you like the place, you can sign up for a free meal on your birthday and get a two for one coupon for signing up.

I am not sure if I will be in town that week, but if I am, does anyone want to carpool? I live in Federal Way and would help pay for gas. I will know by the end of this week if I can make it.

I regret I will be missing this event after all. I have a late appointment in Redmond. I hope we can do it again. Have fun all!

Oh no, oh no! I can't make it after all. I have a conflict that I didn't realize before now. I'm sad to say I'll miss this event, but I know we'll try to get more south side gatherings happening soon!
