The Paragon? What a place to meet and mingle. AWESOME!
Super Tuesday Super Networking
Hosted by Arthur Torelli in Seattle, Washington
When: Tuesday, February 5 5:30 PM to 9:00 PM
Fee: Free
Event description
Come to the Paragon on Super Tuesday and network with other indie professionals. We will be discussing how to prepare for the post Bush world, and perhaps a little bit of pre caucusing for those of the same political party. If you don't have a political party don't worry. I don't either. A few financial planners should be on hand for those who want to get their matters in hand before time. Art T.

I hope that people will be made aware that the Washington Democratic caucus will not have any affect upon which candidate our state supports. Therefore, everyone should participate in the Republican caucus on February 9th and vote for Ron Paul, the only anti-war candidate. Even if you plan on voting Democratic in the election, it seems like a good idea to make sure both sides of the ticket are anti-war!

It's not quite true that the Dem caucus doesn't not affect the way our electoral college votes, Brian. Let's talk more about that tomorrow. It's true that you can vote republican even if you are a dem though...

I am so bummed that I won't be able to attend now. I hope you all have a great time and fill me in on how it went. Work comes first, as we all know, and I just couldn't get it all done in time.

I though it was the Dem. primary that has no effect this year. Art T.

Depends on how you mean... It's always the case that the caucuses are meant to select local delegates, which then select regional delegates, which, in turn, select a majority of the electoral college four our state. It's just a proportional representation system, which is a hell of a lot more accurate representation then you get in the full blown major election - (winner take all) system later on down the road. The republicans have a slightly different system this year. I'll bring in a news paper, or something, that explains this more detailed.

Great group of people with a little politics thrown in. Thanks Art. Thought your comments on Hillary at the end were pretty insightful (not that I'm saying who I'm for, of course).
