Event description

Location change We are meeting at Bellevue Regional Library room #2

Emotional Intelligence (Quotient) is abbreviated as EI (EQ). It plays an important role on our motivation, attitude, self-discipline and relationships.

How much do you know about your own EQ? Think of these questions,

  • When you see half cup of water, do you think "good! It's half cup full" or "oh. no. It's half cup empty!"
  • When you are upset, could you be in touch with the feeling and say "I am upset?" or do you dismiss the feeling to avoid reacting to it?
  • When things went wrong, do you say "I should have done better" or "They should have helped me"?
  • When you make a decision, do you analyze too much before you take action?
  • When you don't trust a relationship, do you quit fast? or hang in too long?

The answers represent your EQ.

When applying all of these questions to your business, do you see how EQ can impact your success?

The good news is EQ can be developed. The key is to have self-awareness. When you know what triggers your emotions, you can make a different choice. See refer to my article Growing Your Business by Growing Your Emotional Intelligence

Hsuan-Hua, I look forward to connecting with you again. And I'm excited to learn more about EQ. It's something I've had on my list to bone up on, and your event will be just the ticket to get me started. See you soon!

Just found out today that Koots has closed. There is a nice seating area at the lobby in front of Koots. If we can't find a good place, we can always walk to my office at Key Tower. Look forward to meeting all of you at Koots.

Thank you for attending the workshop and enjoyed it. The workshop was designed to introduce basic concepts of EQ/EI.

The next step is to observer what emotions are triggered for you in various situations and how you manage the emotions. Keep a journal on your observation.
