Hi Brian, looking forward to this and meeting you as well.

76th floor, huh? Sounds like I may need to rework my "elevator speech"? ; )

Hey Stephen, we can work on our 1 minute speech on the way up! Love your idea Brian :)

Just a heads up: they don't validate parking unless you're a member... if you can, I recommend you try to take a bus from a P&R to the bus tunnel under the tower.

This sounds great, Brian! Forget the bus...I'll use the chopper and land on the roof. ~Cyndie PS: Will somebody bring neon pink paint and apply the requisite giant-sized "X" landing mark on the rooftop? ~C

Cyndie, can you pick me up? : )

  • Cynthia Ulrich

I can pick you up, Bob, but only if you can reach the hovering chopper by scaling the rope I drop to you. . . :-)

mmmm, a rope. I was lousy in gym when I was a kid! So I guess I'll stick with a car : )

Hey Brian... Sorry your lunch group is full. I'd like to join you, but I'll be looking for you anyway, because I'm enjoying the lunch buffet that day at the 954 feet elevation. I notice your group is meeting at the 1,320 feet elevation. Is that why you will be needing Cynthia's chopper?

  • Cynthia Ulrich
Posted by Cynthia Ulrich, Redmond, Washington | May 17, 2008

    Howard,

Usually, Colonel Crouch and his team of haute cuisine experts access the 954-foot target using exterior scaling systems borrowed for the day's mission from Cirque du Soleil.

However, in Seattle, oxygen availability diminishes at precisely 955 feet, so we're heading in by chopper using pressure suits with built-in, oxygen-rich resources AND the requisite Biznik logo emblazoned across the back of the suit as well as on our helmets.

(BTW: They're really cute, Tonya and Anne, so we'll look great!)

When you join us, Howard, you'll need to send your suit size to NASA for custom-fitting before accessing the high-altitude target buffet with the Colonel's team. ~C.J. Public Information Officer for The Colonel Crouch Team

I just found the chopper conversation, and MAN I think I missed my chance to be on the chopper :(. I'll just have to walk up the flights of stairs, fear of elevators (and speeches therein!)

After reading all these posts, I am excited to attend! I work in the building and eat at the Tower Club every Wednesday but you guys make it sound so much more exciting than my boring meetings!

Did not know you could arrive by chopper in uniform no less!!!

Drats! I have to cancel due to a client's reschedule of a strategy meeting for tomorrow. Please know my thoughts are with you all as you enjoy this wonderful lunch together. Keep me posted on the outcome.

    Brian: next time! Cyndie

That's ok Cyndie: we'll look forward to seeing you and your flight suit in the future. But a word on your flight plan: you might want to ignore Howard's elevation datum.

My event title was based upon height above sea-level! (Natch!)

Sorry Brian, I..... like Cyndie have to cancel :( I was looking forward to it but duty calls!! I hope to catch the next one and I'll bring Cyndie :)
