Event description

Take a break from the city. Don't miss this relaxing networking luncheon on beautiful Anderson Island. Lunch is on the Dunns, so come to the island, mon!

It's summer time and what better place to network than on an island in Puget Sound. Take the trip just south of Tacoma, catch a ferry, and spend an afternoon with good food and friends. We'll kick back and experience networking that truly doesn't suck.

The owners of the vacation rental, Alluring Sound View, is giving this to us at no cost. Anderson Island Inn's Barbara Lake, a new Biznik member, has arranged everything. She'll set up the venue for us and prepare and deliver lunch from the Island Deli and Store. All you need to do is schedule a few hours and buy your ferry ticket!

Space is limited, so RSVP soon. Because food is involved, we ask that, if you need to cancel, you give us a couple of days notice if at all possible, so someone else can fill your spot.

NOTE: For this event you will need to catch the 10:20am ferry and return on the 2:40 pm run. The island is beautiful, so consider staying afterward to explore a little. More details will be sent to bizniks who sign up for this adventure.

I never swim in murky water.....Loch Ness and all. I do however drink by the lake.

John, that's a great idea if you can do it. I will send out some info on ferry as it gets closer. But this way you could save some $$ on ferry as well!

I hear you on the vacation, Jack. We are the hosts, but we're also looking forward to just kicking back (and having someone else fix lunch!)

It would be cool to have another one before the cold weather hits. (September and October can still be nice out here.)

If we do, you'll have "first sign-up rights"! (You, Jane and Valerie).

If anyone does need to bow out, please let Jack & Jane know! I just took a case that has a hard deadline next week, so I won't be able to come in any case. Regarding the "first sign-up rights" for the next go 'round - yes, please!

Oh, I think that parts out the window, but any event that includes a road trip and an island is bound to be fun no matter what the weather is like!

    Bob and Judy,

I'm so sorry to cancel at the last minute, but I'm just not going to be able to make the drive today. I've been suffering from severe back pain lately, and I thought it was getting better, but this morning I woke up and things were pretty bad again. Driving always makes it worse, and I'm not sure my back can take the 100+-mile round trip today. I've been looking forward to the event and am really sorry to miss out. I also apologize for messing up your count and food plans at the last minute.

    Thanks for understanding, Annika

    Bob and Judy...

Last time I looked, you were FULL. Now I notice you are not. I would have loved to have attended, but now it's too late.

Last night, at the "How to network the Biznik way", Dan mentioned that a new pending feature for events; A way to join a waiting list that would auto-notify you when there was a cancellation and your name was now UP in the order you had posted. I look forward to it.

You may want to mention to Dan that a feature such as this would have filled out your event today. It would be especially useful for a committed travel and food cost event like yours.

Enjoy yourselves. See you soon. ...Howard

P.S. Put me on the wait list to be notified the next time you do this. Thanks.

    Howard,

Thank you! We tried to contact people who had expressed an interest, but for most, it was just too last minute to change their plans.

The waiting list feature would be incredibly useful. I'll second the motion with Dan. Wish you could have joined us today!

    Judy

Thanks for signing up for our e-tips, Howard! Actually you could write the book on networking, so the strategies in our free report probably won't be new to you.

Would love to get your feedback on the e-tips, once you've received a few issues.

Bob and Judy: What a great event. We were all saying in the car ride home that this event was just so much fun - wonderful setting, good food, unbelieveable desserts (I LOVED THE COCONUT CHOCOLATES), terrific conversation, lots of laughs, road trip merriment and ferry boat napping.

    Many thanks Elizabeth

    Bob and Judy,

Thank you both again for putting on a such a great event. Well worth the road trip.

It was great getting to know everyone a little bit better. I'm looking forward to watching your business grow over the next couple of months!

    Bob and Judy,

Add my name to the list of folks really impressed by this event (FRIBTE's). The very best people, food (dessert, uhhhn!), venue, hosts...and a crazy road trip to boot.

After this one, I will be hard to please. The bar has been raised.

We couldn't have had a more awesome group out. Funny how a little icebreaker game has the power to reveal so many cool things about people. Who knew that Brandi has the potential to be a rising opera star!

And your ferry pictures from the ride over? Priceless. Thanks, everyone, for being brave enough to make the trip.

Hey! I just noticed that Pamela was listed as a "no-show"!

What actually happened was that our dear friend got left on the other side, just got there ONE MINUTE late!

Pamela, if we had had a boat, we would have zoomed across the sound and rescued you!!!!

Just wanted to clear that up.
