Event description

This is another opportunity to get some exercise in one of Seattle's premier parks, while engaging in small group conversations about whatever is on your mind. I expect that the setting will have an an impact on your conversation(s) equal to the exercise you'll be getting.

Aside from the technology you use to get to the park, this is a no-tech event. The only sounds heard should be the sounds of our conversations overlaying the sounds of the birds (including at least one pair of nesting eagles), the wind in the trees and maybe the raindrops. Be sure to dress for the weather; we walk whatever the weather gods give us.

Please note: PETS ON LEASH AND CHILDREN ARE WELCOME! For the sake of the Biznik event, they just need to be able to keep up.

Meet at the park headquarters (Environmental Ed Center on the map) on the park entry loop road. Park in one of the two parking lots to your right as you enter the park (See the park map found at the second link below).

We'll take long enough to introduce ourselves before we walk. We'll depart the meeting point at 9:15 sharp. We'll do the loop counter-clockwise this time; so, if you're late you know which way to go to catch up. Find info on the park and a park map (pdf) at the sites below.

Directions to the park and general information http://www.seattle.gov/Parks/environment/seward.htm

A map of the park. You will find the meeting place and the parking lots here. Click on the map so you download a map in pdf format. You will have to use the zoom feature of your pdf viewer to blow this thing up big enough for it to be useful. http://www.seattle.gov/parks/trails_detail.asp?id=428

This is definitely going to be an exciting gig (last time i remember working out, it had something to do with a fledging hamster/guinea pig relationship - split the cages!!!).

Quickbooks will most certainly be the focal point of the run - for me at least (freezing issue when i attempt to reconcile, blah!). Any who's...

    Can't wait!

Sarah, Howard, Anne, Binh: I look forward to meeting all of you. It looks like we're going to have a good mix of people and business types.

Tyler: This won't be quite as vigorous as the workouts you put me through; but we'll get a little exercise and have some fun too.

John, I am so sorry that I had to cancel my walking with the group this am. I have a deadline that's been moved up and I need the time to get the presentation together. Next time. Joy p.s. I love walking in the rain!

We'll miss you, Joy. We understand that business has to take precedence over pleasure. I hope your presentation goes well.

I'll be hosting more of these walks, including some in the evening; so, you'll have other opportunities to join us.

Thanks for a great event, John. What a lovely group of folks to walk in the drizzle with. If I'd thought of it, I would have taken pictures. I had my camera with me, but didn't even think to get it out. Next time!
