Sure to be a great walk and talk. Glad to see that Sacha and Paul have teamed up to host this one. Didn't you two just meet on Tuesday at the Cap Hill Walk and Talk?
Action. I like it!

This is a new type of biznik event ~ the "Walk & Talk" ~ inspired by Karrie Kohlhaas and her same series at Volunteer Park...check out the Walk & Talk group too! The idea is to get off our butts and outside for some active interaction!
Walk & Talks are about moving our bodies, reconnecting with the outside world and with each other. It's about starting your day ~ and your week ~ with some walking to get the blood flowing with fresh ideas and fresh air.
Please have your devices turned off. The focus is on face-to-face connection and being aware of our surroundings ~ not taking calls or twittering.
In a nutshell, Downtown Park is the park just south of the downtown mall, Bellevue Square. The given address for the park is the tricked out memorial deck thing on the north end of it...we're meeting on the SOUTH end.
Meet at the edge of the south parking lot off 102nd Ave. NE near the long waterfall and reflecting pool, all located on the south end of Downtown Park in Bellevue. Parking is just north of the intersection of NE 1st St & 102nd Ave NE. We'll depart for our walk at 9:05, heading around the path on the park perimeter...so if you are late you should be able to scan the park and see us...just run and catch up!
Don't dress to impress ~ comfortable shoes and warm clothes are what these Walk & Talks are all about.
Rain, sleet, snow or shine.
Dog friendly event.
General directions:
~ Going north or south on I-405, take the 4th St. exit when you get to downtown Bellevue.
~ Depending on which direction you came from, turn so you're heading toward downtown Bellevue (West, Seattle-way).
~ TURN LEFT at the Bellevue Way intersection (4 traffic lights I think?).
~ TURN RIGHT at NE 2nd St (1 light)...the road will bend and become NE 1st St.
~ TURN RIGHT at 102nd Ave. NE...you're there. Parking is free.
If you're prone to getting lost, or not familiar with Bellevue, you might consider printing out a map (on recycled/reused paper, of course!).

Yes, we're like the Wonder Twins, lol. Thanks again for the inspiration and everything Karrie!
Hi Paul & Sacha,
Just wondering if this is a dog friendly event? If so, I'd love to post it on my group "Dog Lovers Unite".
Best,
Steve
I think that my dog would love to make it a dog lover event.
:) sacha
Bring the doggies! ;>P
Got no doggies - don't hold it against me! I'm still a dog lover! Karrie really motivated me. I'm glad to see something on the east side.
Thanks,
Nancy
Hello there Nancy...we'll look forward to seeing you on Monday!

Glad you guys are gearing up for your Bellevue Walk and Talk. Anyone on the fence about joining this event or new to biznik and feeling unsure: this is the perfect event to attend. Paul and Sacha are both very kind and easy going. Walk and Talks are such an easy way to get to know people without any pressure. I am loving these events.
Hi Guys,
Such a cool event, though I'm sad I have to miss it. Mornings are tough for me as I have a lot of East Coast clients and morning is prime time to deal with any hot issues they need help with.
If you were able to do this event for 3 pm or after, it would be much easier for me (and my hilarious little dog) to attend. Good luck and hope to see you soon!
Thanks! -g
Sorry I can attend. Monday mornings is when I have meeting with my staff.
Glad to see that the term I used last year at a BizNik meeting is spreading. We have been holding these in the Sustainable Wallingford Group for a while now.
I love this idea (especially bringing your doggies!), however just a bad time for me. If you have them later in the day, keep me on the list to hear about it.
Thanks
Thanks for the invite. I will try to make it.
Paul and Sacha; I apologize for cancelling at the last minute, but I have a 10am that I haven't quite got my preparation done for yet due to the holiday, out-of-town guests, etc. I look forward to the next one. Cheers! Helen
No problem, we had 6 of us this morning and it worked out wonderfully.
For those of you who missed, we'll do it again soon...maybe at Downtown Park or another location on the Eastside.
Stay tuned!
~Paul
