Event description

Please come and join us for a Biznik Happy Hour at The Balmar in the heart of Ballard. The theme of this happy hour is "green business" - how does your business think green? It's a topic that I'm always eager to talk about! Biznik happy hour is also a great opportunity to meet indie business people to find collaboration partners and swap business referrals. See you there!

Thanks for putting this event together, Kara-Lee -- I'm glad to see that green business is becoming quite popular these days!

Green business fans may be interested in checking out the 3rd Annual Sustainable Ballard Festival from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 1st. I haven't been to the festival before, but it looks like a cool event. Check out http://www.fest.sustainableballard.org/.

One of our Bizniks is part of Sustainable Ballard, Ann Scheerer! What a small world, and a fabulous lady. She and I have done green work together for both the Interra Project, www.interra.org, and BALLE Seattle, www.seattleballe.org. Green business is here to stay, go Kara-Lee.

Amy, it was a great event -- sorry you couldn't make it! It's nice to meet lots of Biznikers who are thinking green.

We talked a little bit about how to use the upcoming Biznik 2.0 release to foster more community for green business fans. More cool stuff to come!

I am feeling very inspired by an evening of full of such rich conversation. There was a great energy and momentum to move forward and not only continue conversation but taking the steps in learning more about how to put these green thoughts into action.

Kara-Lee, you're a fantastic host! I really enjoyed the size of this happy hour, which allowed us to have a group discussion and talk about how our individual businesses are thinking - and acting - green.

And Kara-Lee came up with a brilliant idea for a Biznik educational event entitled "The Top 10 Environmental Mistakes that Businesses Make (and how you can avoid them)" I can't wait to RSVP for that one.
