Joe is a superhero, so I bet this will be great. Haven't had the pleasure of meeting David yet.
Business Breakthroughs: Turning Obstacles Into Opportunities

Event description
A challenge is an obstacle or an opportunity depending on how you respond to it. And how you respond depends on your framing.
Are you operating inside a dualistic frame?
Locked in a competitive battle?
Reacting against what you don't want?
Struggling to make do with scarce resources?
When you frame your challenges dualistically, you're likely to restrict the options you are able to see. You also may find yourself abdicating responsibility and imagining yourself to be a "victim" of circumstances. Your challenges become problems and your business suffers as a result.
Or are you playing the "infinite game?" Operating from this frame, you find yourself:
Cultivating collaborative relationships.
Actively creating your vision.
Seeking new possibilities that go beyond the obvious.
Framing things as dynamic, relational, and expansive opens the door to opportunities that are impossible to see inside the dualistic frame. You tap into your creativity, feel empowered, and experience the fun and aliveness that drew you to entrepreneurship in the first place. From this place, your challenges become opportunities, and your business thrives as a result.
Here's what we'll do.
Join 20 other Bizniks in a highly interactive exploration of the cultural straightjackets that keep many of us locked into dualistic, problem-focused thinking. Through strategically designed exercises, you'll experience tangible, visceral examples of how easily you fall into the dualistic frame.
Then you'll learn how to catch yourself in the act. And you'll shred your straightjacket, Hulk-style, as you expand, amplify, and strengthen your commitment to a personal vision.
Get out of reactivity and leap into creativity. You'll leave this workshop with greater clarity about how to take bold action to make the best of the opportunities in front of you. You'll go back to business with new eyes, better able to see how to best:
Express your passion
Serve your higher purpose
Clarify your choices
And enjoy more success - however you define it.
Sign up early for this exciting collaboration between two masters of facilitation. You'll experience breakthrough insights through dynamic, experiential collaborations. And you'll establish great relationships with a few of your fellow Bizniks.

LOCATION: We'll be meeting downtown in the Park Place conference room, on the 6th floor. The building is conveniently located by entrance and exit ramps to and from I-5 in both directions. (The mark on the Google map is misleading. If you zoom in, you can see a building on the SE corner of 6th and University. That's Park Place.) And because the event is midday, we shouldn't have any problem with traffic. Plus, there's parking in the building (expect $12 to $13 for a couple hours - but the event is free) and at several more affordable places less than two blocks away. And of course, Metro is a great way to get downtown.
