Event description

I invite you to the Vermillion Wine and Art bar for "The Capital Hill Freak" Business Networking Happy Hour.

With a vaulted-ceiling entrance with brightly lit art and a cozy wine and nibbles bar in the back, Vermillion is an ideal setting to create and enjoy the connections and conversations that are the life-blood to any small business.

Networking Happy Hours are more than just times to unwind and get a good glass of wine. These events are what humanizes your business to your network.

People don't do business with your logo - they do business with YOU.

When you show up, you represent, you listen and you give information: magic happens.

These open-form Happy Hours give small business owners a chance to connect with each other. We can have the conversations with each other that we don't often get to have at workshops or in the flow of a given work day.

These conversations and connections are vital to the soul of your business. The soul of your business is YOU.

Being in business for yourself can be an isolating, hard-paced life. We all need a break, this is one we can take together - and get some business done in the process.

Business Networking Happy Hours are opportunities to show up, make new connections or deepen existing connections.

*note on logistics** It IS capital hill so the parking may be a touch challenging - show up anyway and have a good time with us, in the name of your good business.

    Shannon, Laurie and Thekla!

I am so grateful for you communication about canceling.

Of course you know that it's totally fine to cancel and yes, there will be other Happy Hours full of fantastic people in the future.

The roster of RSVP's is rather lovely, powerful and flattering.

I know tonight will be a great unwinding event.

I find that people tend to let go of their cares about "networking correctly" at these Happy Hours.

With that sort of unwinding from "doing networking the right way," more people find more connections that result in prosperous business dealings.

At least, that is what my experience has been from talking to folks after they've attended my Biznik Networking Happy Hours over the years.

I look forward to seeing everyone who comes on in and shares a good time and a good conversation with me.

Thank you, everyone, who attended and showed interest in this event.

    We had a great time.

People stayed to mingle and have uplifting conversation more than an hour passed our scheduled end time.

When I left at 10:15 there were still about 4 or 5 bizniks in animated conversation with their name tags still on.

    I am so grateful.

I will be posting another happy hour soon.

Diana, the owner of Vermillion, and I will set a date for the future. I would like to schedule happy hours for both October and November if our calendars permit.

Thanks again and I wish you great prosperity in your business dealings.
