Event description

How is your cash flow these days? Every decision you make impacts your personal and business cash flow... Are you setting aside time in your schedule to pay attention to it? Do you know where your money is going and what you can do to increase the flow?

Playing the game is a fun and risk-free way to:

• Discover your financial habits and beliefs

• Experiment with new financial choices

• Observe the results of your beliefs and choices

• Practice “investing“ in stocks, real estate and businesses

• Become more familiar with the concept of Cash Flow

• Understand your Balance Sheet and Income Statement

We'll start with introductions, play for 90 minutes and end with a useful brainstorm/discussion on how to increase cash flow in real life (with time allowed for networking at the end). Please come even if you've never played it before. You will experience a LOT in a short amount of time!

Here's what Sarah Max, CNN/Money Senior Writer had to say about the game:

“On a recent evening I bought into a limited partnership, flipped a bed and breakfast for a quick profit, tripled my money on “OK4U“ pharmaceutical stock. I also got downsized from my teaching job, bought a duplex and had a baby. After all that, I managed to get out of the proverbial rat race.“

    Hi Ruth!

My boyfriend and I have the Cashflow 101 boardgame and can bring it if it'll allow more people to join you for the event beyond your current capacity now :)

All we ask is for folks to bring their own blank Assets/Liabilities sheets since we're running out of those, sorry, but otherwise happy to share if you're interested in having more people join. I'll have to check, but I may be able to bring 3 people (including myself) for our board. If that's too much trouble never mind but just wanted to offer as we'd love to play again. (Also, we just bought the 202 version and don't know anyone who wants to play the advanced level?)

We are located in Queen Anne/Interbay and could do Mosaic in Wallingford too if that's convenient for you and you're interested for later (would love to have you lead! :)... just putting the idea out here and excited to hear how yours goes!

I LOVE this game, it changes my life for the better a little more each time I play it - thanks for hosting this!

    Hi Michiko,

Thank you for your offer - and yes, it would be great to have you join us. The Olive Way Starbucks conference table seats 10 people max, so it is at full capacity now. However, I've hosted other games at the Starbucks in Madison Park and that venue is great for 16 people. Mosaic would definitely work too.

As for 202 - there is quite a bit of interest so I'm sure we could have quite a few people sign up to play. Do you want to give me a call at 206-438-4098 to chat more about it? Would you be interested in playing a 202 game today or tomorrow?

Ruth- Is this 101 or 202?

  • Ruth Hartmann

    It's a 101 game, Chris. I'll be posting a 202 later this week.

    Hi Everyone,

Several more people have expressed interest in coming to tomorrow's game, so I'm trying to to borrow another game and reserve one more table I'll at Starbucks. I'll keep everyone posted.

    Cheers! Ruth

Shoot! Sorry I'm unable to grab our game in time for tonight as your extra - would have loved to join!

Perhaps in the future we can do either 101 or 202 (which we have, but have yet to play :) at Mosaic in Wallingford if anyone's interested? (Your lead, since I'm still learning! :)

Either way hope you have a wonderful game today, and looking forward to meeting you at a future event!

    Best, Michiko

@Michiko: I would gladly join you guys for 202. Have never played, so would be learning myself too.
