Event description
Come learn about Biznik's exciting new ClubVIP.
If you're ready to make an impact AND take your business to the next level, then the new ClubVIP progam is for you. ClubVIP includes a series of dynamic, interactive business classes; small facilitated support groups; and access to a toolbox of resources; - all designed to help you become a stronger business person and develop a sustainable, viable business that will honor the triple bottom line of people, planet and profits.
The first ClubVIP offering is the facilitated 12-week incubation phase of the Biznik Hives. Biznik Hives are intimate business groups of like-minded peers for serious entrepreneurs, who meet regularly to support one another in reaching their goals. Limited in number of participants, a Hive is self-lead and collaboratively provides intensive feedback, inspiration and accountability. Facilitation is offered during the first 12 weeks. Hives will start meeting on Wednesday, September 30. (Attendance at this Information Night is required for assignment to a Hive.)
Tonight's Information Night will:
• Introduction and discussion of ClubVIP.
• Provide an overview of the Biz Basics series.
• Include a taste of the Hive group dynamic.
• Install ProVIP members into a Hive that will start meeting on 9/30.
ClubVIP is is free and an exclusive benefit of Biznik ProVIP Membership. This information session is open to ALL. Learn more about Biznik Pro and ProVIP Membership.

I signed up for this event assuming that it is/will be an online presentation via GoTo Meeting, Webex or something similar. Have I done the Assume=ass+u+me thing? If so, please accept my apology and regrets.

@Edward. Yes, I'm afraid this is a live, in-person event. The pilot ClubVIP program will be in Seattle, but assuming it goes well, we will be exploring ways to offer it in other cities after the new year. Thank you for your interest!

This is two days before my big workshop, and I'm too scheduled up to make it.
I am excited, though, to see all the cool stuff Biznik keeps adding to its already jam-packed value!

I'm signed up for so many events these next few weeks I might as well move to Seattle, but in the meantime, if anyone would like to carpool from the south end, let me know.

Lisa,
Is there a way to look at the six-week Let's Get Real About Business content before Wednesday night? And, will there be other intro events before the series begins. I have two important events I would like to attend this Wednesday evening.
Thanks, ~Sandra J.

@Sandra, This is a pilot program under development. There are no plans for an additional Information Night at this time. The plans for the 6-week "Let's Get Real About Business" have changed and is morphing into an ongoing "Biz Basics" series. Please stay tuned.

Hi Lara, I regret I now can't attend this event, and hope that by cancelling someone else can! Best, Page

Last minute notes on tomorrow's agenda and parking.
It's so exciting to see the amount of interest this event has drawn. There's still a substantial wait list for this event, so this is another reminder, that if you feel you may not be able to make it, or if you can only attend part of the event, please open your spot for someone else who would like to attend.
Biznik rockstar, Karrie Kohlhaas is going to be joining me in facilitating the evening and this is also going to be full of content. I'll allow about 5 minutes for stragglers who are running late, then we'll jump right in. We have planned a full agenda until 9pm.
Parking near Office Nomads is easier than you'd think. The Seattle Central Community College has a parking garage across the street from Office Nomads. When there's no attendant, parking is open and free. When an attendant is in the booth, parking is $4/night. Entrance is one block East on Harvard Ave. Take the stairs at the back of the garage to get onto Boylston to avoid having to walk around the block.

Speaking of saving the planet: Anyone want to carpool from the Eastside? I'll be leaving north Kirkland at about 5:30, hopefully hitting the South Kirkland Park & Ride at 5:45, which if we get enough people for the carpool lane, puts us there in lots of time. CALL ME if you want to carpool! (206) 605-2022 and leave a message. I'm coaching soccer until 5pm Dave Kuhns, writer, SEO/Local Search and marketing consultant, and trainer.

I was in Seattle earlier for Bob's event and stopped by the Seattle Central Community College parking garage across the street from Office Nomads.
Things have changed there. I spoke with the attendant and he informed me that as of about a year ago there is no longer free parking at any time.
When there's no attendant, there is a pay box to pay for parking, which is $7.
I also have to cancel out. I will be recovering from another knee surgery throughout the months of October and November, maybe into December. Therefor I cannot commit to sessions until later in the year.
I do want to know as much as I can about the Club VIP, it sounds awesome and very beneficial. I hope to jump in when I am able.
My apologies Lara and Karrie, I was so looking forward to seeing you both again.
Nancy

@Colin, thanks for posting the link to the videos. They were great to watch. This new "Hive" idea sounds fantastic.
@Lara / @Karrie: What is the next step now that the first orientation session is over? How does one form or join a Hive if they did not attend the event last night?
What about the other areas of help needed, how does one get information to get involved in that area?
If I heard correctly, the hives will meet for 12 weeks, what happens next? Do they reform with all new people/all the same people/or a mixture of both?
I did not attend due to my upcoming knee surgery but I do want to join a hive, one further North. It may not be until the next 12 week session but it is high on my list of things to do.
Sorry for so many questions but this is of real interest to me.
Thanks for your creativeness in "Hives."

Thanks so much Lara and Karrie. You did a great job putting this together.
I am very excited about my hive. This type of "support system" is exactly what I needed. I'm looking forward to the weeks to come!

@Colin, thank you for video recording part of the event. It's fantastic to have that!
And thank you to the 45 who attended. Twenty-six people in Seattle formed into five Hives, and they'll begin meeting next week. If you are in a Hive, your private Biznik group is being created now. A message with instructions and more information will be sent shortly.
I'm afraid attendance at last night's event was required for participation in this first incubation cycle. If all goes well (and there's no indication that it won't) a second cycle will begin in January.
I will be posting more information about the process in the ClubVIP group. If you're a ProVIP and you haven't joined the ClubVIP group yet - do so today! (It's a free benefit of ProVIP membership.)
If you would like to help out with this program, I am very interested in speaking with you. There are a range of duties, as well as projects that I could use assistance on. Please drop a message to lara(at)biznik.com and we can talk more about it.

What an exciting presentation from both Lara and Karrie. Lara, you are so dynamic I was already dreaming of my hive furnishings and how nurtured I'd feel with other hive members around me.
Unfortunately I cannot committ at this particular time but I will be eager and excited to know how they're going for all involved.
I am grateful for all the wonderful things Biznik has offered me.
