Walk and Talks have become my favorite way to start the day. Fresh air, good people, lively conversation, light exercise, sunshine. Every time it's different and it's never dull...
Special Guest: Karen Lindenberg of Phyzz Yoga will lead us in a short meditation and stretch before the walk to set our day and get in the here and now. Then we'll walk and talk until we can't stand each other any more. Just joshing; We stop walking at 9:30 and often conversation continues a bit, but I try to keep these events to an hour.
Meet at the Black Sun in Volunteer Park (the big donut-like sculpture across from the Asian Art Museum). Karen will lead us in the stretch and meditation starting at 8:35 and we will depart for our walk at 8:45am, heading north, so if you are late, run and catch up.
Wear: comfortable shoes and clothes. Bring: a water bottle if you get thirsty. Phones: Please turn them off. The focus is on face-to-face connection and being aware of our surroundings, so please arrive unplugged.Parking Drive into the park and you'll find plenty of parking spots in front of the Asian Art Museum.
Rain, sleet, snow or shine. Dog friendly event--if your dog is friendly!
See you there!

Fun to meet you at this morning's WnT, Leslie. So glad you are joining again for this upcoming WnT. Great way to start the day.

Couldn't make it yesterday but I'm really excited to join you all next week...
What a great group we've got for this walk and talk! Be sure to check out each other's profiles so you know who you want to walk and talk with.
I love seeing all of your faces on the RSVP!
Karrie
Holy cow we're cooking up a party! Looking forward to meeting everyone.
Karen
Sounds like a great idea. Look forward to meeting you all.

See you all soon...

Just wanted to let you all know not to wait on me in the morning. I managed to come down with something today, Monday, that has me up coughing this morning--early. I won't be at the walk tomorrow. I'm not into spreading around whatever is plaguing me. Enjoy, I know Karen will lead you all in a great prep session and there is always good karma around these walk and talks, I've found. --'course that is what I'm looking for and declaring for all of you. Look forward to the next chance to see those I've met and meet those I've not yet had the pleasure of meeting.

I had a great time! Thanks everyone!
Great to see everyone this morning! Thanks to Karen Lindenberg for the wonderful grounding meditation and stretching. It set the tone for the connective conversations and amazing energy of this walk and talk.
This morning I learned things I didn't know about Volunteer Park, we talked about design conundrums, Zulu Nation and rap music, how to put yourself out there when you are just getting started, what we ate as kids, unpacking for McDonald's... And what a treat to hear some words from Awilda about the voice!
Speaking of that, there are some events coming up that you should know about:
Awilda's event next Tues 12-2: Find out what your voice tells others about you! Several of us will be there. I have so much to learn from Awilda!
I host another walk and talk tomorrow/Wed. at 7PM in Volunteer Park. Please RSVP!
Karen L. hosts a series of events at Healeo starting in July--yoga and a smoothie. I'll announce those details in a Walk and Talk Group note closer to the end of June.
Please be sure you are a member of the Walk and Talk Group so we can keep in touch with you.
We missed those who couldn't join us today (Sarah, Mitch, Goldie and Daenin) and hope you guys can join us next time! It was truly a blast and I am so excited to know you all. Looking forward to more walking and talking.
See you all soon!

Karrie you have one of the most beautifully generous, inclusive, embracing, unconditional voices I have ever experienced. Your event this moring was wonderful. Not only did we get to be in your loving energy, we got to experience Karen. I thank you for sharing her with us. It was a delightful group and I learned so much from the people I met. Thank you for putting this together, for your vision, your organizational skills, your leardership, your grace and for getting us all moving. It was a wonderful way to start the day. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Awilda
Awilda, thank you so much. I really feel that and take it in. You too brought so much to the walk and talk today. I loved hearing you talk about the many voices we each have and so appreciated and enjoyed the way you spoke about Karen as an excellent example. What a special gift and set of life experiences you have to bring to the world. You are so eloquent and graceful in every way. Thank you for attending another walk and talk with me. I hope to see you again and again!
Awilda, your words just blew me away. Thank you from the core of my being.
Karrie, thank you for inviting me to co-host with you and for the opportunity to connect with people in such a unique way.
And thanks to everyone for being open to sharing your energy with (near) strangers! How beautiful is that?
All love,
Karen
