Event description

Come start your day with us! Good people, lively conversation, light exercise, sunshine, real birds that tweet real tweets. Every time it's different and it's never dull...

Special Guest: Karen Lindenberg of Phyzz Yoga will lead us in a short meditation and stretch before the walk. This really sets the tone for us all to be present, to connect authentically and to have relaxed time together. We stop walking at 9:30 and often conversation continues a bit, but I try to keep these events to an hour.

Meet at the Black Sun in Volunteer Park (the big donut-like sculpture across from the Asian Art Museum). Karen will lead us in the stretch and meditation starting at 8:35 and we will depart for our walk at 8:45am, heading north, so if you are late, run and catch up.

Wear: comfortable shoes and clothes. Bring: a water bottle if you get thirsty. Phones: Please turn them off. The focus is on face-to-face connection and being aware of our surroundings, so please arrive unplugged.Parking Drive into the park and you'll find plenty of parking spots in front of the Asian Art Museum.

Rain, sleet, snow or shine. Dog friendly event--if your dog is friendly!

If you don't find a Walk and Talk that fits your schedule or location, then host your own Walk and Talk! They are the easiest event to host. Ask me if you want some help getting started.

And if you haven't already, be sure to join the Walk and Talk Group so you'll be alerted to future WnT's and so you can post your own events via the group.

Welcome back Julie, Sarah and Bridget. Lesli, it will be great to meet you! I did a doubletake when I saw the still image on your profile video! Then I realized what I was looking at.

Looks like a great walk and talk in the morning with 15 RSVP's, plus Karen, me and my friend from Wyoming! So glad you all signed up, and so many new faces too! Welcome!

I encourage you to browse profiles of people on the RSVP list and see who you might want to know better. You may want to drop a note to a couple people who look especially interesting and let them know you want to walk with them in the morning.

Weather.com says: 58 and sunny, but be prepared for anything. Last time the weatherman was about 10 degrees off! Bring a jacket in case you need it.

Also: comfortable shoes and water bottle. I always bring a notebook too. Whatever you want, bring it!

Karen will lead us in a short meditation and stretch and then we head north, so show up on time or run and catch up if you are late.

If you have not joined the Walk and Talk Group, please do. That's where we can all stay connected.

See you all on the flipside...

This walk is wonderful. Karen's grounding and stretching starts the morning off right and the walk and talk with the people there is just the right recipe to make the day brighter.

Karen, thanks for another lovely grounding exercise and stretching session before our walk. I am loving that!

Great to see you all at the event. Yes, sunny, Rachel, and your pic that I posted on the event page shows your own sunny nature. I mentioned your event in the message to everyone that went out after the event so hopefully you'll get some takers.

Ann, great to see you at yet another walk and talk. I am counting you among those who are addicted! In a good way!

I love that pic of me, Karrie! Thanks! If I had the money, I'd pay you to be my personal photographer. You always get the best shots of me. :)

Rachel, I love that pic of you too. I made it the official Walk and Talk pic for a week. It gives off the fun feeling we are all experiencing from walk and talks. Thanks for being the embodiment of that!
