Event description

Join the era of Walk and Talks. It's time to stop the chaos of over-working and get out where life is lived. See trees, feel the wind, move your legs. Walking and talking is good for the brain and a great way to connect with other bizniks.

Karen Lindenberg of Phyzz Yoga will lead us in a short meditation and stretch before the walk. Karen knows how to set the tone for grounded and connected conversation. We stop walking at 9:30 and often conversation continues a bit, but I try to keep these events to an hour.

Meet at the Black Sun in Volunteer Park (the big donut-like sculpture across from the Asian Art Museum). Karen will lead us in the stretch and meditation starting at 8:35 and we will depart for our walk at 8:45am, heading north, so if you are late, run and catch up.

Wear: comfortable shoes and clothes. Bring: a water bottle if you get thirsty. Phones: Please turn them off. The focus is on face-to-face connection and being aware of our surroundings, so please arrive unplugged.Parking Drive into the park and you'll find plenty of parking spots in front of the Asian Art Museum.

Rain, sleet, snow or shine. Dog friendly event--if your dog is friendly!

If you don't find a Walk and Talk that fits your schedule or location, then host your own Walk and Talk! They are the easiest event to host. Ask me if you want some help getting started.

And if you haven't already, be sure to join the Walk and Talk Group so you'll be alerted to future WnT's and so you can post your own events via the group.

It's a great break from my usual routine and a good warm up for my Tuesday 10 am workout with Biznik and personal trainer, Tyler Oakley. Tyler is going to partner with me on my Seward Park WnTs after the walk on July 3rd.

John, sounds good. I'll look for your event co-hosted with Tyler on the Walk and Talk Group page.

Karrie I am really missing walking with you in the mornings and having Karen do the stretching exercises. I have a student right now that I see at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays.. But that will end after this month. Please give Karen, Leslie, Julie and Ann my love. I will miss seeing them. But soon and very soon I will be back with bells on.

Awilda, we've missed you too. There will be many more chances to connect!

Looking forward to seeing you all at Volunteer Park at 830am tomorrow. We meet and talk for a few min. and then Karen starts a grounding meditation and stretch. Then we walk and talk until 930.

A reminder to check out profiles of people who have RSVP'd so you'll have an idea of who you want to walk and talk with.

Most of you are back for more and there are a few of you who are first timers to this walk and talk. Welcome and just know that this is an easy, relaxed event. No need to put on your game face. We have silly and/or deep conversations and really get to know each other. No need to bring your pitch unless you really want to!

Any of you who are not members of the Walk and Talk Group, please join so we can easily keep up with you.

Bring a bottle of water, comfy shoes and a jacket! It looks like mid-50's tomorrow morning and cloudy, so be prepared in case it's colder. We walk and talk no matter what the weather brings as we are hearty NW bizniks!

See you all on the flipside...

Welcome Janine! I see Julie is your connection to this group. She's been on a lot of walks with us and glad to see she's liking it enough to encourage others to join! See you tomorrow. Looking forward to it!

And a wonderful time was had by all. Stimulating pre-walk meditation and stretch by K-K-K-Karen. A great looping and re-looping walk by K-K-K-Karrie. Engaging conversation. Lots of laughs. Thanks to the hosts.

Thank you Karen & Karrie it was a great time. I could have kept on walking. With all the good conversation it went by quickly. pre-walk & post-walk group time was a good way to get in an appropriate "mind" for walking & talking. I will hope to visit you again. Wish me well as I set a plan to Walk & Talk in the Mill Creek Town Center. Look for the Event. I was energized for the Day! Thank You!
