Event description

The first Eastside Business FREE Networking Happy Hour of 2008.

Informal networking from 4-7pm for business owners and others in any type of business. Each attendee will have an opportunity to give a short pitch on their business to the group and then have plenty of opportunity to meet other business people. No cost for the event - just pay happy hour prices for your food and drink. Yama has graciously extended their happy hour to our group until 7pm.

There will be a drawing for a free 1/8 page ad in Eastside Business newspaper, as well as a gift certificate to our host establishment Yama at the Galleria.

Joe... Man, but you have grown a lot of hair since last time you hosted. Have you harvested any yet? I'd be there if I were not going to be out of town that day. See you the next time. ...Howard

You are right - the hair is going crazy and making me even crazier. Harvest probably won't be for another year or so.

I have a feeling we'll be seeing each other again soon Howard!

Hi Mozelle - and welcome to BizNik! You will find that it is a GREAT organization, started by a couple of fantastic people and events are attended by many more interesting people.

I knew I've seen your name before, and after checking out your website - I know where! I used to work for HomeTeam (RIP) and saw your name everywhere. I know that you did some great work on Vision House. We probably have some stories to exchange.

    Hello Joe,

What a small world it is! Thank you for the welcome and for taking a look at my website. My little thumbnail photo is actually from an episode of Hometeam.

    See you soon

Hi Joe. Thanks for organizing as usual. :) I like the hair. Looks great! Good works that are not going unnoticed. :) See you soon - I'm glad I checked the location to see that we're meeting somewhere new. I'll be running late ...and can't stay late (in between a job and a teleseminar...but I'll do my best to get there so I can braid your hair for you). :) Bye, Joe~ Kim

Thanks Kim - it will be good to see you again. Last year it seemed like we had all kinds of real estate people at the happy hours, it looks like tomorrow we will have a lot of you organizing type people - y'all could have a field day with my life!

Not sure the hair is quite long enough for braiding yet ...

Yama is just next door to my office in Key Tower, so I don't have any excuse not to attend this one. I look forward to meeting all of you. Thanks Joe for organizing and choosing a fine location. Budy

I am still coming, but I won't be able to be there until after 5. I guess you will have to start without me.

Thank you to EVERYBODY who attended - and those who could not make it - BizNikers and Eastside Business supporters alike. I hope to see you all at the next event.

I'd love to hear your feedback - complaints, kudos and suggestions!

Please check back on BizNik for the next event which will probably be in the next couple of weeks.

There are a lot of great business people here on the Eastside and I feel very fortunate to get to know each of you.

If anyone else wants to host an Eastside BizNik event, please let me know - I'd be more than happy to support you any way I can.

Thank you to Yama - Lani, Chef Warren and Annie for doing the real hosting. What a great venue!

BTW - Marilyn Wade won the gift certificate from Yama and Scott Sinclair won the free ad in a future edition of Eastside Business newspaper.
