I'm willing to brave this because in the times I've met you there's a calming element about you that I think would put shy people like me that cringe at the idea of networking at ease and able to benefit. This sounds like just what I need! :-)

Event description
You’re working the room when you catch an introduction that sounds intriguing. It’s exactly the kind of relationship you may be looking for. You judge your moment. You work your way over to him or her. You make eye contact. You really want to make a good first impression. You introduce yourself with a tone of self-confidence and deliver your best line…
During this fun and humorous evening, we’re going to borrow some principles from the world of flirting to help you improve your first impressions and ultimately create more business connections. Whether the idea of networking (or flirting) makes you excited or nervous, there’s no pressure tonight because we’re all practicing and improving our approach (and having fun with it)!
Rich is a mediator, facilitator, and motivational speaker helping people negotiate more effectively in challenging situations. He is a host for a prominent Seattle area singles club, and the organizer for two Meetup groups.

Rats. I can't attend. I am hosting a webinar. This could have been my once-in-a-lifetime chance to flirt with six beautiful women in one room!

I'm new in business and never did know how to flirt, either! This is just what I need....

I'm going to pass out. I'm the token male. I'm seriously shaking already...

My career adventures to this point haven't been highly people-skills-intensive. Making new business contacts & business relationships will be required for my next steps, and yet to me the concept of 'working a room' is rocket science, whose practitioners put me in awe. So basically I'm showing up to be amazed....

Great Event!! Fun and painless :-)
Rich put everyone at ease, great feedback of what works and doesn't, as well as opportunity to put it all into practice with socializing afterward.
The "safety" of BizNik made it easy to open up and share our fears and successes ... as well as plenty of humor. Thanks Rich!!

It was a great gathering -- almost like a 12-step for shy people (although I'm not certain everyone was!) Richard gave some great tips -- I can't wait until he sends out the email! and, those who attended (and those who didn't) might be interested in my Tuesday Night Ephiphany: http://cyranowriter.wordpress.com/2009/02/09/we-are-not-born-shy-a-revolutionary-poem-and-thought-stream/ (yeah, it's a thought stream and poem). Special thanks to Craig -- it's moments like this that STUNS me about Biznik.
