Event description

We’ll meet at 36th & Evanston, the stretch of art and greenery adorned sidewalk in front of the Fedex Kinko’s, across the street from Lenin.

We’ll stretch our calves and hamstrings walking UPhill through Fremont to the Woodland Park rose garden. If you haven’t been lately, it is at its peak. The colors are astounding and the perfume almost intoxicating.

We’ll amble through the floral corridors before delighting in the down hill ride provided by our feet. After returning to Fremont any so inclined can adjourn to the canal or one of the local bars to continue the fantastic conversations started along the walk.

Do you tend to introversion?
Or perhaps you’re new to Biznik.
Overwhelmed by the larger events?
Have a hard time making time for exercise AND networking?

Walk and talks are designed for you.

This is just a small group of people taking an evening stroll and getting to know each other. That’s it. Come join us.

Thank you for this event. I'd love to join you, but I have my weekly Chi Gong class Tuesdays. Enjoy!

Not sure yet whether I can do this; the Rose Garden is sweet for me as my daughter was married there! Hope I can move my schedule around to be with you!

Any suggestions about where to find parking? I don't go to Fremont as often as I like due to the parking situation!

I'm so looking forward to this! Important to know, though, that it's Lenin, not Stalin... quite a big difference. :^)

I just found these Walk and Talk events; they sound great! And it could not be more convenient; I work right in that same building. Should be an invigorating way to end the day.

Someone asked about parking above; at that time of day there is plenty of free parking all around this particular corner of Fremont. Just be sure to NOT park in the areas zoned as Residential, because they have been absolutely ruthless about ticketing since the regs changed about two months ago. In other words, avoid parking on the East side of Evanston and the West side of Fremont Ave. Most of the other spots are safe and relatively well-marked if not.

    See everyone Tuesday!

    Cheers, Connie

Amy, great to see you cranking up the Walk and Talk energy in Fremont! Looks like this is a better bet than the location/time you tried for previous WnT's--glad you stuck with it as this one looks like a hit!

I'd like to see walk and talks happening all over town and everyday! We really need this outlet as busy business owners. I want to welcome everyone to join the Walk and Talk Group who hasn't yet.

    Dear Amy:

I am sooo sorry I will not be walking with you on Tuesday. It is full moon and I have a full moon ceremony in Redmond at the time of your walk. But I very much look forward to walking with you again soon.

For those of you out there who have not walked with Amy, I highly recommend it. She has wonderfully, soothing and embracing energy and makes the walk seem easy and great fun.

Thank you for your comment, MIRIAM!!! I read the description and went "I don't know about a Stalin statue in Freemont . . . must be something new." Didn't occur to me she meant Lenin. Thanks for clearing up the mystery.

    Hello everyone,

I sent this to those of you who rsvped before Monday evening. So this is really for anyone who decides to join in our walk between now and Tuesday PM.

Thanks for the posts, the rsvps, the landmark corrections. My blundering of Lenin & Stalin wouldn't really lead one to believe I studied comparative politics as an undergrad now would it? Would be a very different world if Stalin were lording over Fremont.

A rather robust and fascinating group of individuals is coalescing for this Walk & Talk.

Is there is someone you have recently connected with through Biznik, intended to schedule that follow up cuppa and not yet made it happen? Consider sending them a quick email and inviting them to our passeggiata (this time only a spelling correction...here's to life long learning).

The more the livelier. I look forward to meeting you all Tuesday evening.

    Amy Darling

This was a wonderful walk. Really good exercise and a beautiful garden to walk, smell the roses, and then reach and stretch. Just a great evening.
