What is haiku, exactly? You could google it, or take my word that it is a three line poem, good for those of us who live in short attention span theater. ...and each line is controlled by syllable count: Five syallables in the first line, seven in the second, five in the third. Subject matter can vary from funny to profound. Prizes will be given for most creative general haiku and for most creative biznik haiku! And if you are very uninspired but curious you could bring someone else's haiku!

I have little time,
but I will see you all there,
make mine a bud light!
What a great idea!
Where-ever did you find it?
pencil sharpener!
Kim
For zany people,
I invoke fun things, but then,
only strange ones laugh!
Andrew
full belly guffaw
peed my pants twice this morning

Now, I must stop, but I will see you at Redhook. I am excited to discuss new business ideas with you, and get the push I need to keep up the momentum.
Have a great day! Kim
Miss your energy,
Woodinville does sound tempting,
I am tentative.
James,
Uncertainty rules,
Your most muscial Shoes, but

PS. Crossing 520,
could cost you aplenty, and
everyone could cry!
Laughing my buns off!
Oops, I wrote five syllables,
Well, haiku happens.
Relax James:
no buns are needed,
yet we are arrears, and
behind in all things !
Iambic meter Is my preference but suf
fer for art I will.
Thank you Shirley! It is hard to format with Biznik at times, so I will restate your gift...(the visuals help):
Iambic meter
Is my preference but suf-
Fer for art I will!
A friend wrote and suggested we haiku on the Presidential candidates, So I wrote on behalf of the Repubs:
Tundra Barbie Oy,
Wounded soldier and his toy,
McCain in my neck!
Biznik haiku, what?
Way too much time on your hands!
Can you make mine wine?
1) I cannot resist,
No real issues shared on trail,
It's entertainment.
2) The country is broke,
Two claim to have remedy,
Where were they last year?

Despite what you hear
Accounting rules are at fault
Only bank biz stinks ------------------ Fair Market Value
Ain't the Way to Go for banks
SEC needs to change this
---------------------------- Too much panic urged
Always house market cycles
Banks are own problem.
Wine or beer which one?
Wish that I could come today.
Both sound very good!
reaganomics bye!
'trickle down' hits the sky,
much greed, many die!
Both our two choices
Find blaming others easy,
Better to find cause.
such a layperson, as me, does not know who did this or why, do you?
Hey everyone, sorry to bail at the last minute... craig
----------------
heart expansion, pop.
yawning, grimacing, twitching.
now your house is clear.
--------------------
Mexican dinner.
mango margarita, large.

Haiku Error Messages In Japan, they have replaced the impersonal and unhelpful Microsoft error messages with Haiku poetry messages. Haiku poetry has strict construction rules - each poem has only 17 syllables; 5 syllables in the first line, 7 in the second, 5 in the third. They are used to communicate a timeless message, often achieving a wistful, yearning and powerful insight through extreme brevity.
