Event description

Event co-hosted by Biznik and Pet Photographer Extraordinaire, Andy Stolarek who's new to the area.

Seattle is a pet-loving city, and many Biznik members have businesses that serve people with pets. So why not get together with that common bond in mind? All are welcome for this evening of friend-making, fun, and food. Oh, and drinks too! And if you have some interest in pets, even better.

We'll be meeting at The Matador in Ballard (corner of NW Market St. and Ballard Ave.) from 4:30 - 7:30 p.m, so stop in any time. They have great happy hour specials until 6 p.m. We'll likely be congregating in the front far corner of the restaurant, between the windows and the fireplace.

Super fun!! I suggest that the pet lovers all bring the wackiest, most endearing photos they have of their animals.

I don't think that the Matador would allow us to bring our pets but we could all meet in the parking lot and roll down car windows....

Are you all going to have Andy photo your pet????

Leave it to the marketing genius to come up with the brilliant idea of having a networking event for pet lovers at a place where you can actually bring pets. I was too busy thinking about delicious margaritas and good deals on appetizers! :-) Next time...

Had you relied on the professional organizer to professional organize your event these things would have been covered.

Norms in Fremont is named after the owners dog. You can bring your pet in and have drinks and food. Not legal but they get away with it. My dog has been there twice and sat int he booth with me. Good food too!

Definitely making a mental note of Norms! I'm afraid my dog would be too much of a squirm, though.

Yeah, not sure I'd bring my dog into a bar anyway. She'd try to drink everyone's drinks. But she'd be super cute. Annoyingly, pesteringly cute.

Next time we should do it in a park on Saturday or something.

Till then, we'll just have to suffer with our margaritas in hand ;)

Would a Pilates studio with a greeter dog count as dog services? I like to think of dog therapy as part of why people come to Studio Evolve. The Barking Lounge is expanding and I've seen singles & doggie events there. Steve Uliene, the owner is great - it could be worth looking into for next time.

Bummer guys, I just found out my dog has to have surgery that day!! So sorry I will miss all of you, hope to meet you another time!

Giannina, So sorry about your dog! How sad that you can't come to the pet happy hour because your pet is sick...I hope all goes well.

Martine, this happy hour is open to everyone, and it sounds like you have a pet, which is great. I hope you can make it. (I met Steve Ulene by the way...great guy. We invited him so hopefully he'll make it.)

Looking forward to seeing/meeting all of you on Thursday!

Since I can't come, I will just link you my cute little pet ferrets. They don't smell, they are rather expensive to care for, and their personalities are a combination of cat, dog, and human toddler. Oh my! If you ever decide to visit my home office, you can certainly meet them.. but maybe one at a time, no? =D

Unfortunately I can't make it today. Last minute pet sitting came up, as well as last minute graphics jobs.

It's good to be busy, but sometimes I miss that simple 9 to 5 schedule that actually allowed for some social time.

Thanks everyone. I just picked up my poochie from surgery and she's kinda loopy from the drugs and crying a little, but she'll be OK. When her knees heal she'll be back in action! Now I'm just trying to snuggle with her so she can relax. Hope you all have fun tonight!
