Event description
The media and many around us are leading with doom and gloom. While
there definitely are some new financial challenges, there are also
great opportunities.
Your facilitators, Tshombe Brown and Lori Richardson will lead a
discussion where we cite actual scenarios where small businesses and
entrepreneurs have gained wealth and resources through tough times.
Lori, a business blogger with Dun & Bradstreet and host of an
international web TV show will focus on public relations, sales, and
networking - and show how to grow business through follow up,
enthusiasm, integrity, creativity and tooting your own horn.
Tshombe, a business coach and consultant with Your Signature Coaching
will talk about attitude, intention and about being flexible through
times like these.
Participants will receive warm, freshly-made donuts from Bellingham's
locally-owned Rocket
Donuts (how could we help it?) and a handout with
inspirational quotes, simple easy-to-implement tips, and resources to
be of help. Bring YOUR success stories - everyone is welcome - whether
you are thriving or just surviving.

NOTE: SESSION IS FREE, and we would request PLEASE CONSIDER
BRINGING
A DONATION OF 2 CANS OF FOOD or SOME OTHER (Non-perishable,
please) FOOD ITEM(S) for the BELLINGHAM FOOD BANK. We will drop
everything off there and we know they will appreciate it.

It was great seeing you all, thanks for the afternoon!
We promised a few links for recent (or future) Twitterers. So, as advertised, here we go.
Twitter is what is now called a "microblogging" service, available online, on the desktop, or -- where it's most famous -- the mobile phone. How are people tracking all the Twittering?
Here's the basic search on twitter, that logs in real time the conversations by search term:
http://search.twitter.com/search?q=exit+realty
Note that there's some relevant chatter on that search term:)!
If you don't want to scour the site every day, but want alerts when someone mentions your brand (ahem, TJs), then this has come in handy:
There's tons of Twitter analytics sits out there as well, but again, it's easy to get buried in the toybox when the whole point is to get connections and information while filtering the noise!
Even though the usage for Twitter is only about 5% of internet traffic now, there's just a devout following and an insane amount of applications people are developing for it on a daily basis. I like to track the progress here:
Hope that helps, or is at least fun!

That was Exit Realty's first Biznik event. I am happy it worked out.
You will never know if that Exit pen might be worth something someday : )
Thank you Ritama

What a great powerhouse of talent for an event like this. What I really like about these events so far is the diversity of experience and the innovative ideas presented.
This gives me inspiration to try new ideas and motivation to get them done. I feel armed with important information that will help my business in this economy that I otherwise wouldn't have.

What I liked best about this event (and most Biznik events) is it really is a reminder that you are not alone as a business owner. It was also a good reminder to be postitive and bring that positive attitude to your clients. Thanks for the donuts and making the donation to the foodbank! bliss

Two things I got from this event are two donuts (I always love food) and how it is very important that a person doing business needs to adapt to changes. That might mean doing something that may be uncomfortable or change to something completely different or do something like marketing the old fashion way. Lori and Tshombe are great together. Thank you.
