Event description

Join us for a dynamic two-hour discussion on ideas for improving your profit margin and increasing your chances of survival in this downturn economy.

Teresa and I want to get your best ideas for improving profits. You can increase sales, but if there is little or no profit, what good did it do?

We want to hear your ideas, what has worked and questions you have so that we all walk away with a plan for being more profitable.

Topics for discussion:

  • Reducing costs

  • Pricing

  • Reducing Payroll

  • Increasing sales

Kirk will start out with a mini presentation on profit margins (how to calculate), the +1 marketing strategy for increasing profit margins, and the profit driver concept for creating cash flow and profit strategies for your business.

We are excited to see you there to help get our creative juices flowing!

Thanks Collin! It's not about how much you make, it's about how much you keep. A lot of business owners tend to discount their prices in a down market thinking it will attract business. However, there are many strategies for improving your profit margins and your sales so that you can win in this economy. Colin, you and Teresa are one of the best role models of these strategies. We are looking forward to hearing how you discover your profit driver and the effect that is having on your business.

I was just speaking with a fellow bizniker about our event. He said, profit isn't my problem, making sales is the real focus right now. I realize that the topic is putting off a lot of biznikers who need to spend their time increasing sales. What is nice about this format, as a discussion group, is being able to address your real concerns as it relates to increasing sales as well. So far, of those who have signed up, Teresa, Collin, Doug, and I have many years of extensive experience in making sales. Doug was a national sales trainer for Car Toys for 11 years. So we will also have answers on how to increase sales. This topic of increasing profit margins will help you a lot down the road as you are building the business of your dreams.

    HI Kirk-

Just wanted to let you know I may be a couple of minutes late as I have a meeting in Tacoma that looks like it will go until 12:30. I hope that is ok and I look forward to meeting you later today. SKB

Thanks to everyone that attended and welcome to the 5 new Biznikers.

It was a very stimulating discussion. I really enjoyed the "not to exceed" clause in contracts from Conrad and the double proposal idea from John.

The profit driver example from Teresa and Colin was amazing. You are baking more bread with less flour and at a 7% reduction in payroll.

I would enjoy hearing your additional ideas as they come up.

    Kirk,

As always, I count myself fortunate to attend your events. To all Biznikers: Kirk is a premier business management consultant. His leadership style invokes creative thought and sound business practices. This event's topic centered around profit...how to track it and how to increase it. The profit driver concept will be a lasting trigger for me as I grow my business. Thanks Kirk for your leadership. You rock!

    Conrad,

I become more amazed by your business potential the more I learn about your business.

It was great to hear everyone's real world experience and advice. I've heard from a couple of those who attended already. They want to see us do it again. I appreciate you taking the time to let Biznikers know how beneficial this kind of discussion can be.

Here's to an increasingly profitable future.

    Doug,

You always add a lot to the conversation. We feel fortunate to have you attend. Your insight on how to get people to buy things is invaluable. I think it really helped the people in the group to better understand how to present their services better.
