The Biznik way of networking is a powerful combination of online social networking technology paired with face-to-face events. Learn from co-founders Lara Feltin and Dan McComb how to grow your business faster and become more profitable by using the tools at your disposal.
We'll walk you through the five main areas of the site, elaborate on the features as we designed them, and how to use them:
- Your Profile: self promotion & visibility on the site
- Events: hosting & attending
- Membership: using the directory & your Biznik network
- Biz Talk: online socializing & discussions
- Articles & Tips: writing, rating & commenting
This workshop will be focused on questions YOU bring to the table - so come prepared to ask a lot of them.
- Introductions start at 6:30.
- Workshop & questions til 8:30.
- Networking til 9.

Parking on Capitol Hill
Office Nomads is on Capitol Hill, not the easiest neighborhood to park in - except for the Seattle Central Community College parking garage that is literally across the street from Office Nomads and costs only $4/night. Entrance is one block East on Harvard Ave. Take the stairs at the back of the garage to get onto Boylston without having to walk around the block.

Posted by Lara Feltin, Seattle, Washington | May 18, 2008I'm going to go ahead and increase the RSVP limit to 30. The space we're using at Office Nomads can comfortably sit 14-16 people. I capped the RSVP at 23 for the May event, it filled up weeks prior to the event, but 7 people canceled their RSVPs the day of, another 6 people didn't show, and there were seats available.
If everyone who RSVPs actually comes to this event, it will be crowded and I apologize in advance.

There's no official wait list. I have two future dates I'm working on with Office Nomads - 7/22 and 8/12. So stay tuned.
We also have plans to create a video version of "Networking the Biznik Way" for the web site.
