Event description

Come prepared to network and learn. We will dig in deep on how to attract and close more customers through the use of free social media tools combined with a perspective on branding that I guarantee that you have never heard before. We will step through detailed examples of what it takes to get you up and running with a sound social media strategy for your business. These aren't ideas that are nice to have, they are the new marketing fundamentals that every business should be putting to use today. As much as you know social media is a powerful tool, it all starts with the right brand strategy. What you do and say within your social media campaign is more important than the medium itself. Coming from years of branding experience and working with Fortune500 companies, your brand promise is absolutely step one in your new success.

If you have questions about anything from branding to Twitter, then this is the event for you. In today's world, you need all the competitive advantages available to you as a business. This workshop is designed to place the power of social media and the right brand promise into your own hands.

    Hey Steve,

I went to this same event on 2/11, which was EXCELLENT. Thanks!

I realize you have an agenda to get through, but I'd love to go again just to hear the things we didn't have time for on 2/11. Namely, more twitter techniques and how to tie social media into "your brand."

Do you have any plans to spend less time on the opening parts of your presentation and more on the latter???

    Thanks!

    Jeremy,

I will certainly be spending time on the branding part of this presentation. That was good lerning on the last event. It is so important to have both working in concert with each other.

    Thanks for asking!

    Hi Steve,

I signed up for your tutorial. I am really looking forward to it, as I have been trying to figure out how to do the Social Media/Business aspect of things on my own, but without much success.

How do we know the location of your tutorial? Do you send an email to each attendee?

    Thanks Gil

The location is located on this page in the upper right corner with the map and the physical address right below it.

And Jan, please bring your webmaster along. Officially they should sign up for a free Biznik account and register for the event.

    Thanks for coming!

  • Phil Germer
Posted by Phil Germer, Renton, Washington | Mar 19, 2009

    Steve you were great!

The Emotional Brand Intelligence point is so true when it comes to marketing. Most small to medium size business don't realize that to be customer focus they need to see things though their customers eyes. It's hard for them to do because usually when they have time to think about marketing they are limited in time so just default to what they see and hear everyone else is doing.

Also, the Ad Media Sales people usually want them all to say the same things because it distributes the customers between all their clients instead of just one or two. And it's ego (self) driven to see your name in print. They can play on that weakness.

Great program and I'll be going to it again and would recommend it to every business person.

    Phil

As usual Steve rocks at these presentations. His information is practical, useable, and most importantly understandable. I've been reluctant to Twitter and lazy blogging, but no more. When Steve showed real world ROI on these simple steps in social media I was instantly sold. Thanks Steve and your panel for such an educational event. And it's FREE!!!!

Truly enjoyed last night's event, and ended up with a whole new mindset toward Twitter. Also appreciated the "10-minutes a day" ... it helps us to look at the steps we take (and making them count), and not the miles we have to cover or the "mountain" of work in front of us. Good thing I was in the middle of reworking my schedule :-) thanks!!

Thank you Steve for an amazing presentation. I got a lot of value and tools and now I'm not so confused about the social media. I've been on Facebook, LinkedIn and Plaxo for a while now. I'm going back in and making sure my profiles are updated and of value.

I may signed up for the next presentation as well. I don't want to miss anything!

    Steve,

What a fabulous evening! I learned so much, and am excited about putting it all together. The non-techie in me kept an open mind, and the techie in me grew more excited about all the options you shared. Today was busier than planned, so I haven't tweeted yet, but I will.

Thanks also for the fabulous offer. I'm looking forward to your newsletter. Kudos also to Tami, Barry, Mark, Richard, Shannon, and Liam for their contributions. Did I leave anyone out?

Steve, I would like to say that I enjoyed the event but I had an eye accident while driving there. The corner of a tablet fell out of my visor and into my open eye. I was in so much pain and could not see anythingout of my right eye. I don't remember much of your workshop.

I had someone help me in signing up for your newsletter. I am looking forward to the mass amount of learning I have ahead of me and I will sign up again so I can focus on the workshop.

ps...My eye is still only at a 20/60, I am told it will take many weeks to get my vision back as it blasted out my cornea the size of my pupil. Ouch!
