Event description

If money was your lover, would you be precipitously dating, happily married, unpleasantly divorced? Or would Mr/ Ms Money have a restraining order on you for silly, immature, & reckless behavior? Let's get down to what conditioned responses you have to money, and how these pervasive attitudes can be unlearned quickly and efficiently. A conversation starter, a way to network, a great place to snack! If you have no money shame, you have no gain! Try a self coaching experiment with professional facilitation.

Parking permits for 90 minutes available for spaces under the Whole Foods Building.

If money were my lover, I'd be a lonely, lonely woman. After meeting with you earlier this week, I'm very interested in finding out how I can unlearn some things about money.

Ok, Suzanne...welcome to the Wednesday tribe at Whole Foods....and to the others, coming or not, I invite you all to briefly post you learned negative responses to or about money...such as:

    Money is evil!

    Only unspiritual people make money!

    You cannot win.

    There is never enough!

Spouse or mate does not pull their fare share!

What other gems live in your background wallpaper? Please post some for our collective enrichment.

Hi Andrew, Great event idea! Wish I could attend, but have a conflict that day.

I've also found it very effective to personify $ in helping people develop a more intimate and dynamic partnership with their money. I do a workshop called "If Your Money Could Talk" -- really gets folks moving in a new direction.

    Have fun on the 8th!

I miss the Wends Tribe! You and your lovely wife are so good for the soul!

I am glad to see some interest developing, since money and our attitudes about it are so culturally driven, and effect all of us

    Andrew!

I'd be castrating the @#&^%( !!! Lorena Bobitt stlye! I can't afford to come.

That is funny, Caroline! Love the honesty...but it is a Free discussion, so of course you can afford to come. Even looking at that statement (can't afford) slowly, from a neutral bias, can unwind amazing discoveries, about what is affordable, psychically, emtionally, and otherwise. And I know you are a strong woman!

A couple of books to stimulate the conversation if you guys get a chance:

    The Energy of Money: A Spiritual Guide to Financial and Personal Fulfillment, by Maria Nemeth;

and The Soul of Money, by Lynn Twist.

"I can't do what I love and make money."

NOW there is something I hear alot (and sometimes in my own head).

Thanks for the book recommendations! Looking forward to 'co-hosting' with you...

BTW- the comment above about co-hosting was NOT for this event, but in the sense of looking forward to co-hosting with you in GENERAL, in the sense of co-hosting some event in the future. I don't know enough about money to co-host! ;-p Just so we're clear! Thanks!

    Hey, Sylvia:

Everyone is co-hosting with me really! Then we can all relax and grow and exchange together!

Hi Andrew, great idea for a class! I ask people if their relationship money was made into a movie what kind of movie would it be (horror film, dull documentary, romance, feel-good hero's journey, black comedy...) And like Debbie, I also recommend having a talk with our money.

If a spot opens up I might try to pop in. (Nobody really just "pops in" from Carnation, though!)

Patricia, Kate. and Kim: Let's wait and see if there are any cancellations, first. It is a small set up and a crowd can easliy overwhelm the topic; but I'll be glad to do it again!

I'm sorry to cancel, but I must. I've been so looking forward to facing my financial habits in good company. I will sign up for the next one, though! Cheers! Patricia, Kate & Kim: Ready, Set, GO!

Hey, Suzanne, you forgot to reverse your RSVP! Ooh, awkward, I'd have to compete for the spot with my old Windermere Cubbie Mate Kim. (She finally got the window when I moved onto other pastures...) Well, we'll see what happens... what suspense!

If money were my lover... I might complain that he hasn't been around as much as I'd like lately. I'm feeling a little neglected.
