Event description

Don't you love a good story?

How many times have you been captivated by a good story? Perhaps you like adventure tales, centered around a hero who overcomes obstacles to save the world from destruction. Or perhaps you enjoy tales with characters that seem to be drawn out of your life experience. Or perhaps you enjoy the delivery - sincerity and a spark of energy that grabs your attention and doesn't let go.

Join me for an evening connecting with other independent business owners as we speak and listen. Dig deep into your independent business experience and shape your message into a story and share that story with the biznik community.

What is your story?

I want to hear it.

I'd love to come, but this is RIGHT in the middle of my workout. Next time, I hope!

This is a great event! I attended the one Catherine hosted last summer. You can read comments from that event here: http://biznik.com/events/2007/6/28/indie-adventure-tales

Having a forum to share stories in was slightly more time consuming, but 100x more beneficial than meeting with a group of people each sharing a 2 minute intro or "commercial". I came away from the event feeling like I had gotten to know the 10 people there, and they're folks I haven't forgotten meeting later.

When I see them at other Biznik events now, I remember them and their story and feel like I have someone I can talk comfortably with.

I would love to attend this event but have another commitment that night at that exact time. Voicing my support for it to be held again soon though.

    Thanks! Charles

    Hello dear friend,

I am booked with clients, otherwise would be there with my stories, indeed.

I heard that your previous event went really well. You are so good at leading groups. Thank you for hosting the kind of event that is really needed.

Oh Catherine, I'd love to come but I have an EcoBuilding Guild Board meeting that night. :(

    Thanks for the kind words.

What I liked best about the last discussion was the diversity of stories. We got to hear Max describe his adventures in China, Anne talk about how she has been a successful indie for over 15 years, Barak talk about treasure hunting, and so many other facinating tales that the time flew by!

It is so much easier for me to refer business to someone when I know their story.

    Catherine --

I would love to go to this but have a committment this evening. Story telling is fun to hear and do. Life is a series of short stories, indeed. I hope to be able to attend the next one!
