If you haven't been to The McLeod Residence, you at least have to check it out once. The portrait of Michael Jackson made out of Fruit Loops is worth the price of admission (free). See you there. Rick

This will be the last of our monthly events hosted at McLeod Residence. And don't worry, we're already working on a bigger venue for future events, which we'll be posting soon. So come enjoy the last event at this one-of-a-kind venue that we've all come to love.

I'll be working on a shoot that day, so if we're done in time I'll be there! If not, that's why.

Sorry to not be able to make this one. Have a previous engagement. But, like Brandi, I'll be looking forward to the new venue, albeit McLeod's does have a great location. BTW - have you looked at the Columbia City Theater? As you probably know, nPost meets there every qtr.. David Berkey All Access Printing & Mailing c. 206.356.5873

Columbia City Theater is an awesome venue. Perhaps a little far south for many members, though.

Looking forward to meeting you David!

I really wanted to make this last gathering at McLeod, just too many things on my dance card.

I was only there an hour and yet had great conversations throughout. I'm new to the loose networking thing here at Biznik. People were very open and engaging. I think I'm beginning to "get" the philosophy and can see how it could be a great source of support for a solo practitioner like moi. Thanks Lara and Dan.

    Lara and Dan,

I so appreciate what you have created with Biznik! This was my fourth event, and every time I have encountered people who are genuinely open and interested in meeting me and discovering what I do. I find that I naturally feel the same openness and curiosity toward them.

It's such a contrast to the experiences of meeting people in other networking situations where people say hello as a way to launch into selling you on themselves - I come away from that feeling barraged and used. When people are really listening, then I feel challenged to think more deeply about myself and my business and communicate on a much less superficial level. I could see that was happening for others too. Thank you so much!
