Event description

A logo is a distinctive symbol of a company, object, publication, person, service, or idea. A logo is not a brand, unless it’s on a cow.

A logo is just one part of your brand and is something that makes your business easily recognizable.

In this workshop, I'll give you a brief overview of logo elements and the type of files you should be asking for from your designer. Next, each person will compile a list of feelings/attributes they want associated with their business. Using these descriptive words, we'll bounce around ideas of what imagery, shapes, colors, etc. might express those feelings/attributes.

I'll supply paper, colored pencils, and crayons so you can sketch your ideas. Then you will present your ideas to the group to get feedback.

This exercise is not only fun and informative, but it can really get you thinking about what you want in your logo and be able to present those ideas to a graphic designer to create an electronic version.

The last 15 minutes of the workshop will be reserved for networking, so bring your business cards and any collateral you wish to share.

Note: You do NOT have to be artistic to attend!

I attended this workshop in May and was blown away by how fun and creative it turned out to be. I had fun hearing and sharing ideas about everyone's business logo and mine. I came away with a solid idea, different than I thought it would be, for my new logo! I'm psyched! Don't miss this workshop!

Anita, I loved the May workshop and am excited to attend this one, too.

Thanks for posting another workshop so soon!

    Cheers! Suzanne

Like Karen, I attended this event last month. It was a lot of fun and very powerful. If you haven't thought about your logo, you need to be here.

I totally under estimated my son's 'there is no school so you are stuck with me' thing! Therefore, sadly, have to cancel :-(

Hopefully there will be more, Anita!

    best, Jack

    Hi Anita,

    Thanks for hosting this event.

I was looking forward to attending but just found out that I have to go out of state for tonight on business.

I am sorry to cancel at the last minute.

Thank you Anita for the heads up re the two vacant spots ... looks like I received your email a tad too late to make it in. I may just show up on the off chance I can get in (there are often no-shows, I find). Hope to meet you Friday :)

    Anita,

Your workshop provided a lively discussion on emerging logos and excellent feedback on current ones. Thanks for bringing all of this creative thinking together.

Anita, Thank you for hosting this event! It really was a thought provoking session. Great ideas and dialogue were plentiful. I wish we had more time to play around with our own logo designs. Its a shame the crayons and paper were not used. I guess a good thought for next time may be a smaller group?
