Event description

(If this event fills, send me a message and I'll put you on the waiting list.)

Readers of my article "Loving the Recession" -- the top-featured Biznik article a few weeks ago -- called it “inspiring,” “powerful,” “wonderfully focused” and “compelling” ... and a “creative approach to facing the challenges of the times.”

But ideas are just ideas until you put them into practice. So I'm following up with a workshop that will help you apply these ideas -- the very principles and practices that successful indies use to turn lemons into lemonade.

What is the recession doing to you? Is it controlling you, or are you controlling your own experience? If you find yourself in despair or depression, how is that working for you? And is it even possible to choose a different way of thinking that leads you into the light of hope and onto the path of success?

This highly interactive workshop will lift you up into a stance of possibility and opportunity. I’ll offer you ample time to apply the four-step process outlined in my article – focusing on your values, your vision, your action plan, and the support you need to get there.

As one Biznik responded to my article: “It seems our choice of focus now will determine whether the future upswing is a train that leaves us behind, or a wave that we ride to success.”

Give yourself a gift – take the first steps toward riding the wave to success. Network with fellow Bizniks who are dedicated to their own positive futures, at “Loving the Recession: The Workshop.” Bring pen and paper or a laptop, and prepare to focus on your own well-being.

I'm definitely not missing this! I'll bring some of my tools that I use to help get 'shift' happening (or focus if that's what folks need). Looking forward to the creative brainstorming to make the future work more intentional!

I am very impressed by your follow-up both with the comments in response to your articles and the personal follow-up you made to me, who merely read them.

    Steve dear,

I made the effort to clear my calendar for this reason: I am so there for the opportunity to be with other spirited people re-creating our future with the materials at hand.

How cool is this opportunity? and how wonderfully you share of your self. Thank you!!!!

    Blessings and joy,

    Elke

    Steve!

What a great workshop. Thank you so much for the useful exercises and the opporunity to actually use them and start some great discussions. I not only had a chance to network, but I got 'work' done as well. I 'ditto' what Rose says above. The time flew by!

Looking forward to another one. We can all use a time to check-in and check-up on where we are headed!

    Thanks, Sylvia www.theintentionalway.com

The workshop itself was great, but it became even better AFTER the fact when I tuned in to hear President Obama talking about how we, as a nation, need to act in accordance with our values across the board. Awesome synchronicity. Thanks for such thoughtful AND well-organized facilitation, Steve.

Thank you so much for a workshop full of useful and insightful content. This was an amazing opportunity to explore our values and connect with others on a deeper level than we normally do in an initial meeting.

What a great way to get to know more about ourselves through the mirror of other people in conversation about what really matters to them.

what an incredible sharing, Steve. This was a workshop that you could have charged some good money for, yet was offered as a gift to the biznik community.

My only regret: so many people had to cancel at the last minute.

Thanks for bringing out what is most important to us as entrepreneurs in a way that inspired our keeping our values right in front of us (where they belong!). Husband Jim and I talked long afterward about insights gained.

    You are a treasure.

    Blessings,

    Elke

A humble thank you to Elke, Christa, Sherry, Sylvia, and Rose for your compliments. I'm so glad the experience was useful for you.

Now keep those values fueling that vision, and keep taking one step at a time toward it ...

    Best to you all,

    ~Steve

Thank for your workshop, Steve. I found it -- to bounce off of Christa's comment with another "S" word -- synergistic.

Writing, seeing, and hearing the parts that make up reaching my vision were VERY worthwhile and motivating.

Seeing and hearing others' goals and steps to reach those goals were equally worthwhile and motivating!

On the whole, a very effective workshop, for sure!

Thank you for a great workshop. As a fellow Life Coach and Instructor I was very interested in attending your workshop and learning more about you.

Not only are you a very polished speaker but your workshop flowed beautifully and was quite impactful. It obviously shows you have a lot of experience in this arena. I also appreciated all the audience interaction. The exercises reminded me of how I am living most of my values but neglecting others. It was a fun, fast paced, informative event.

I would highly recommend this workshop to others.

I look forward to getting to know you better.

    Thanks again...

    Meisha
