Back again, by popular demand, this time with an additional host(ess)!

The first two events featured a terrific mix of people from all over town, including some from several towns away. East Sider? South Bay-er? OC-ite? Come out to the Marina, see how fun and easy it is to host your own event. (And stay tuned for video from last time!)

Seriously, people. Sitting behind the computer is all well and good, but when you get out and meet in the flesh, amazing things happen.

So come on out, okay? Bring your iPhone or crackberry if you can't bear to be away from the email for an hour or so, but bring yourself. I've secured the covered side patio for us--nice and quiet, big ol' heat lamps and yes, plenty of that free parking that's so rare today.

There is NO CHARGE to attend; just buy a drink or snack and Mike, our cruise director at Jerry's, will be happy to keep hosting. Bring small bills, in case we have to double up on checks. And a jacket--the patio is heated, but you never know.

I'll be the short one with the glasses, the nametag and the big, stupid grin. Heather will be the slightly taller one with the glasses, the nametag and a stylish outfit of some type. We can't wait to meet you!

despite all the conflicting events, i'll be leaving one downtown early to show up for biznik. at the very least we're all doing the same thing, if not necessarily together, and we can catch up on the new & interesting people we met next month. maybe this wednesday a smaller group can get to know each other better. i'm enjoying arriving at mixers where i already know a few people, finally.

I'm really sorry I didn't make it. Work didn't wrap up until 7:30, wouldn't have arrived until 8. I thought it would be a little awkward if I arrived just 30 minutes before the end of the event. I hope I can make it next time.
