Event description

Does the thought of writing a weekly or monthly e-letter make you break into a sweat? Not sure if you have a bank of content ideas? Do you already have a newsletter but just need a few tips for improving it?

Join copywriting and design experts Judy and Bob Dunn for a workshop that will help you reel in more of the customers who appreciate your product or service, the ones who will become your number one fans.

Blogs help establish your credibility and build brand awareness. But e-letters with fresh, memorable content are the single best way to turn interested strangers into happy customers.

Come and learn how to get your prospect's permission to receive regular, useful content from you. Find out how to deliver value and get loyal customers in exchange.

This two-hour event includes pre-networking, mini-seminar with helpful handouts, and Q & A time. Bring your problems, success stories and challenges and benefit from the collective wisdom of the group.

This event will take place on the Renton Technical College Campus, Building C, room 110, the Technology Resource Center. It is at the Southwest corner of the campus. CLICK HERE FOR A MAP TO HELP YOU WITH PARKING!

I'm just getting started with my Blog (and trying to work on content while the developer finishes the last details). I plan to use my existing email list to provide snippets to stay in touch with people who prefer that approach, so I'm hoping this event will provide some guidance for that.

For five years I was solely responsible for the content, layout and design of the Utilikilts monthly newsletter.

But that was directed at a very tight audience, and I am looking to think wider here... how can I use this info for better Biznik newsletters? How about newsletters for my nonprofit, Circus Contraption?

I look forward to learning a lot from this event!

@Mike: If you've already started to build your opt-in e-mail list, I'd say you're on your way to providing those warm, consistent touches that an e-letter can deliver.

@Phoebe: I know. Stuff happens. Glad to see you signed up again.

@Christian: Utilikilts letter? Now that's an intriguing name. You're on the right track if you are thinking about how to make your e-letter useful, interesting, and an easy read.

@Rick: Look forward to seeing you there.

Sorry I have to bail out. I'm running out of time this week. Hopefully I can catch this or one of the blogging events soon.

I apologize for the late notice of my cancelation, but an unforeseen deadline bodes an all-nighter for a client in Europe. I hope to attend in the future, especially if you do one in Seattle.

    Judy and Bob,

I got a lot out of the seminar yesterday and am looking forward to putting your ideas in practice. I thought I had a pretty good grasp on the fundamentals of e-letters, but I got pretty well turned around by the info you presented. I look forward to seeing you both around the Biznik world.

    Thanks again,

    Bob

The content of your presentation was great and thoughtful. And - as with most Biznik events - I really enjoyed the questions from, and discussions with, the other attendees! Other perspectives are always so interesting in this crowd... I love it!

Mimi: It was a lot to digest, huh. Glad it was helpful.

Bob: I love it when people take away something new. Glad we gave you some more ideas.

Christian: Boy, I agree. The Q&A and discussion times are when all the great ideas come out. I'm like you. I love to hear the different perspectives.

Your seminar was great! I got a little lost, however, because I didn't see the Bldg or Room No's on the event address. Great room, though! JB

Hi Jacque, I'm glad you enjoyed it. Yeah, initially we did have the blgd and room # included in the address on the side, but it seemed to screw up the google map. So we put it at the end of the event description instead. Next time I will make sure it is bold and stands out!

    thanks!

Great seminar! I learned a few things that I didn't know. I also felt good because of some of the things that I do are on the right track! yeah!

    Thanks Again! Kristine
