Event description

Does the thought of writing a weekly or monthly eletter make you break into a sweat? Not sure if you have a bank of content ideas? Do you already have a newsletter but just need a few tips for improving it?

Join copywriting and design experts Judy and Bob Dunn for a workshop that will help you reel in more of the customers who appreciate your product or service, the ones who will become your number one fans.

Blogs help establish your credibility and build brand awareness. But eletters with fresh, memorable content are the single best way to turn interested strangers into happy customers.

Come and learn how to get your prospect's permission to receive regular, useful content from you. Find out how to deliver value and get loyal customers in exchange.

This two-hour event includes an idea-packed informational workshop, Q & A time, and yes, networking. Bring your problems, success stories and challenges and benefit from the collective wisdom of the group.

We are looking forward to bringing our event to one of our favorite cities. And thanks to Tshombe for putting this together for us. And to Barbara for finding us the perfect spot!

And if you would like to join us afterwards at the Urban Farmer for happy hour fun, sign up here.

Thanks so much for coming on down. I have a tele-group at that time on Mondays but I look forward to seeing you after! I hope you get a really good turn-out. I love your Hot Spots and I highly recommend it.

My own Awake Biz Tips has improved over time and I'm pretty happy with it but I know I could learn more so I wish I could come to learn more from you guys.

Hi Kaya, I'm sorry you can't make it, but understand that work calls.

Perhaps you can help spread the word? I know you have a large network.

I think this is a great opportunity to not only encourage Biznik members to attend, but also to "recruit" new members, since events like this is a awesome "value-added" feature of Biznik.

Thanks, Will. Newsletters are an even better strategy in these trying times because take some time but not a lot of money. Of course, being in the internet marketing field, I'm sure you have lots of experience with this topic. Thanks for the supportive comments.

Hi! I am brand new to Biznik. My friend, James Komro, told me about your seminar and unfortunately, I didn't get myself signed up in time to attend before all the spaces were taken. If someone cancels may I ask you to let me know as I would like to attend your workshop? I have been sending out a weekly newsletter for two years and know that there is always more to learn! Thanks a lot!

    Jodi,

That's great. A weekly newsletter for two years. Good for you!

We'll put you at the top of the waiting list. I'm not sure, but there may be a way to increase the number and accommodate more people. Will keep you in the loop.

    Hi Judy and Tshombe,

Thank you for your prompt responses! Things sound rather promising for the 18th, so I've penciled the information in on my calendar, just in case...

    I appreciate your consideration.

    Best Regards, Jodi

    Wait no longer, Tia!

The 2 hours flew by, with Bob presenting the first segment on 'nuts and bolts and strategies'. Judy followed with great info on content creation and management.

Judy also re-introduced me to mind mapping, which is an excellent tool for both brainstorming and organization(especially if you're 'visually creative').

I went looking for both ideas and inspiration, as I have something of a challenge with compelling content in our business. I got both! :)

Jodi - hope the l'il one is feeling better!

This was my first Biznik event and I really enjoyed the experience. Bob & Judy were both very informative, as well as entertaining.
My only regret is that I didn't get around to meet everyone that was there. I have a tendency to absorb the information that is flowing and forget about the social aspect of the event. It was really nice meeting the people that I did though.

Jim, Great synopsis. Didn't they do a great job? I have to say I also appreciated getting reacquainted with mindmapping, and loved the tip about using blog (on your own or someone else's) comments as inspiration for new content.

It was great to meet you, Gary, and I'm glad you got value from the event. I'm looking forward to seeing you at the next event.

Thank you, Bob and Judy, for coming all this way to share this great content with us!

    Tia and Jody,

Sorry your plans took a turn at the last minute. I was looking forward to meeting both of you. Hope to meet you at another event sometime.

    Jim,

Thank you for the kind words! We had a smart group with many of you contributing great ideas of your own. It was a good mix of people who already haver an eletter and people who are considering starting one.

    Gary,

Thanks for attending! Your first Biznik event ever. Wow. What an honor that we got to host it.

    Tshombe and Barbara,

What classy ambassadors for Portland. Thank you for all the details you took care of for us. We would love to come back sometime and look forward to that train trip next month!

    Bob and Judy,

Thank you for such an informative presentation. You de-mystified e-letter creation for me. The only thing I wish was a little different is the frames of the power point presentation handout be printed bigger so that I could read the finer print better. Is that presentation available for download off your website?

Hi Ian, if anyone wants a pdf of the presentation, just send me a message via Biznik, give me your email and I'll send it your way!!
