Excellent. Thanks Dan.
Music Industry Networking Night at King Cat
Hosted by Dan McComb & Lara Eve Feltin in Seattle, Washington
When: Thursday, July 31 6:00 PM
Fee: Free
Event description
What happens when you mix an indie record label with an indie business networking community at a newly renovated downtown Seattle theater? And throw in an acoustic performance by Philo Gant, Dan Turgeon, Dirty Bird and Dead Scene Celebrity?
If you're interested in networking with people in the music industry, join Biznik and Seattle record label Xil Records for the first in a monthly series of co-sponsored events designed to connect musicians with vendors at the newly renovated King Cat Theater.
Beginning at 6pm, drinks will be flowing in the newly renovated King Cat bar. At 8pm, there will be a live acoustic performances by Philo Gant, Dan Turgeon, Dirty Bird, and Dead Scene Celebrity.
We've teamed up with Levi Lyon, vice president of XIL Records, to create a networking night designed to bring musicians together with bookkeepers, producers, attorneys, stage technicians, event planners, and anyone who wants to network in the music industry.
There's plenty of parking available, and we'll be meeting in the theater's lobby/bar, which holds 200 comfortably. Don't miss this first monthly event!

I am so sorry that I cannot make it. I just don't feel well. I see a bunch of people I want to see again and chat it up with, but sometimes it's best to not infect other people if this isn't the case of just plain being run down! I wish you all a great time tonight and hope to see everybody soon at another event like this.

OMG, which sounds like a teenager texting, but I have to say OMG because I didn't know what to expect but got ideas for places to perform (not to mention the Kat) recording ideas and offers of help there, and a spirited discussion about rival recording softwares. Not to mention ideas for a series of music seminars..........don't know if this is related, but I woke with a new song in my head (smile)

I responded thinking:
"Free? Live Music? I'm there!"
I left quite surprised at who I ran into and where the conversations led that were relevant to my business!
My advice -- go, even if you're not a music indie insider -- you just never know ...
