Kate - I'd love to hear you and Patrick, but I've given up evening meetings. Getting too fat missing my work-outs. Thanks for thinking about me and sending an invite through LinkedIn. ~David

Event description
My special guest today is my friend and mentor Patrick Snow, the international best-selling author of "Creating Your Own Destiny: How to Get Exactly What You Want Out of Life and Work" and his latest, "The Affluent Entrepreneur."
Patrick makes his living as a professional speaker and author, and he also coaches other entrepreneurs to do the same. A wealth of information and inspiration, Patrick will share the wisdom learned on his long journey to success (and 20+ tips to shorten your own path to success!)
Come learn:
- What it takes to get paid as a speaker
- The Author-Speaker formula that will make your talks effortless and memorable
- Why Professional Speakers need to be storytellers
- The top "in demand" topics that people get paid to speak about
- What kind of fees are being paid by corporate meeting planners
- How to ensure a meeting planner will want to work with you again
- The Revenue Evolution Ladder and how 99% of business people limit their ability to make money!
- How to leverage one speaking engagement into more
- Why it pays to be an author if you're a speaker
Plus, hear a demonstration - a short version of Patrick's keynote, and learn why he's been paid up to $18,000 for a single speech!
If you've thought about turning your expertise into another income stream (or simply a way to attract more clients and make a bigger difference), don't miss this event!

Patrick, my head is still swimming from all the information and juicy details you gave us from your 10+ years experience in speaking and publishing! This is, hands down, one of the best workshops I've ever attended. I told my husband that, while the workshop was free, I felt I got maybe $395 worth of info!!!
-Laila Atallah, http://careercounselingwithatwist.com/

Jun 13, 2012 Thanks Kate, I'm looking forward to it. I've been singing your and Patrick's praises to my partner as we move to the next stage with www.pricinggurus.com - teaching business people about pricing their products and services. Dan can't make it, so I'll have to transfer the experience as well as I can!

Jun 18, 2012 I'm looking forward to meeting you both, Kate. I've done a lot of public speaking, albeit never for a fee.
My public speaking was when I owned a day spa. Now, as an interior designer, I need to start doing it again and I'm not sure how to find groups to speak to. I'm not sure if amything like this will be covered in your workshop, but I know I'll learn something of value. Maybe even getting paid to speak---what a concept!!

Jun 19, 2012 Mike, glad we'll have at least one "guru" in the room! Love the new name/URL... And there will be a handout you can take to Dan.
Welcome Nancy! You'll find out what topics are being booked, the strengths of workshops vs. keynotes, and we'll have time for Q & A, so you should walk away with some good food for thought.
Kathy, Dee, and Michael, so glad you can join us for the seminar.
