Event description

One definition of money is: Money is anything that is generally accepted as payment for goods and services and repayment of debts.

When we reflect on our own money story the definition of money expands. We each have our own money story to tell and can write our own definition of what money means to us. I would like to offer an exploratory event so that our stories are told, acknowledged, and revised as needed in an atmosphere of playfulness and collaboration.

My belief is that by telling our stories and re-visioning our futures we can find real power as business owners, and serve ourselves, our business partners, and our clients while singing our passionate song. Please consider coming to the October 8th event or send me feedback and let me know if you are interested in attending another event in Seattle or on the Eastside. If you have venue a in mind please send me that information as well.

Courtney, Thank you so much for registering for ReWrite Your Personal Money Story. Re-writing any of our personal stories can bring many surprises, gifts, and AHAs! and is especially true for our money stories since for many of us money is the last thing we will talk about with others in our circle.

Look forward to meeting you and sharing on Thursday. Play=Peace, Mary Alice

    Hi Mary,

I just hit RSVP but wanted to indicate that this is a 'maybe' since I am driving from just south of Portland. I am trying to have a few of my friends to come along to do the drive with me. Hopefully this doesn't mess up your head count but I will know definitely in the next few hours if I am coming for sure and will let you know. I am holding the intention I will be there.

Thank you Chieko for registering for Thursday's event. I'm looking forward to hearing some of the individual money stories that each individual contributes. I just sent a message asking everyone to bring a willingness and enthusiasm, paper and pen, and a bit of money to throw in the hat as donation for Mosaic Coffee's space. Mosaic operates by donations and they also have baked goods, coffee, tea that you can purchase if you'd like to support them at networking time provided.

Christine, Thank you for registering. Please bring some paper and a pen for writing and a bit of money to throw into the hat for donation toward Mosaic's den/by donation. I really appreciate Mosaic offering this space by donation and hope that those attending will pitch in toward helping Mosaic with costs for space and perhaps purchase a cup of tea/coffee while networking and enjoying the afternoon together as we explore our money stories.

Looking forward to meeting you and all tomorrow! Play=Peace, Mary Alice

    Hi Mary,

I am sorry to say I wasn't able to find anyone from the area to join me for the drive to Seattle so I will not be able to make it today's event after all. I will keep in touch with all of your other events and see if can coordinate further in advance for the drive.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Hi Mary Alice,

I couldn't make it after all! I tried to cancel my RSVP from my "smart phone", but I see it didn't take... I am sorry I couldn't be there today. I have been negotiating back and forth for my client and I haven't been able to walk away (at one point I thought we'd reached an agreement, but then my phone rang...).

I look forward to coming to this event in the future and I hope today was a success!

    Hi Mary Alice,

Thank you for the great event! I was amazed you were able to take the work around money to a deeper level in such a short time. It takes presence and skill to be able to facilitate such a happening. I appreciated the various right brain exercises you brought in. And I feel some of my old patterns around money loosening up with your workshop.

Thank you so much for all who attended and to those who have expressed an interest in future events. I've had viruses in my computer ala the late response. I hope you enjoy the photos taken and will consider joining me in another Re-Write Your Personal Money Story Event. If you know of a venue that would allow for a larger group for a day/weekend event please let me know. I'd like to lengthen our time together so that we can deepen the process of storytelling and dreaming the dream on. Play=Peace, Mary Alice

It was very thought-provoking! I'm inspired to keep re-writing!
