Event description

How can a blog help your business? What tools can you use to manage and promote your blog? Is the only measure of a blog's success how useful it is to your readers? How important is the content?

Bring your best questions and join us as we explore the basics of blogging. After short introductions, we will provide some basic info and resources on blogging, including ways to promote your blog and tips on content. After that there will be a Q & A, discussion, and of course, networking.

We will be meeting in room C-113 in building C. Click here to download a pdf of the campus map. The room is at the south end of the building.

    Hi Bob,

I got started blogging on Sept. 1 2007, and a lot of good things have flowed to my business as a result.

Practical Social Marketing Expert Steve MacDonald invited me to give a 30-minute talk about the specifics at one of his recent BizNik events.

I posted the free audio file to my blog. If it would be of value to your group to listen in, here is the link:

    http://www.mainstreetmediasavvy.com/if-you-missed-my-talk-about-blogging-here-is-the-free-audio-file-offering-nitty-gritty-details-including-metrics-and-dollars

Folks can listen at their 24/7 convenience.

Hope to meet you in person at SHINE.

Bob, something I just noticed...I think the map that's up for the event shows a location that's several miles east of the address you've specified.

The street address you have up of 3000 NE 4th St. is only a couple miles east of I-405.

It's probably too late, and hopefully nobody gets lost, but you might want to look into that for future reference.

I've never been to Renton Technical College before, so hopefully my catching the error will avoid any issues.

    Hi Bob:

Thanks for hosting yesterday. Afterward, I applied some of your great tips to my blog and got some serious deadwood cleared out. I'm looking forward to the next class!

Bob Thanks for a very comprehensive event. I think everyone left with a deeper level of comprehension on what blogging entails. Renton Tech College was an excellent venue providing a top notch facility for the presentation.

Bob, what a fantastic use of my time! You hit on every major point about blogging and I walked away with additional "tools" in my "tool chest". I have to agree with Thomas Willa.....the venue choice was excellent. Well done!

Thank you for hosting such an enjoyable and informative event. Before class, I thought I was really behind the curve in the blogosphere, but it turns out I'm already well on my way... beginning with the basics of posting comments. Next up: an actual post of my own.

I look forward to savvy blogging II.

Bob, Thanks for de-mystifying the blog fog. I am energized and writing. It was reassuring to find out that no one was going to read me for a while...it will take a while for a following to develop...and by the time "they" find me, I will be in the habit and more confident. Great content and presentation.

Phoebe and Linda, again thanks for the comments and love to see that you got this much out of the workshop.

And Linda, I really like that "de-mystifying the blog fog". I see a tagline in that!
