Event description

How can a blog help your business? What tools can you use to manage and promote your blog? Is the only measure of a blog's success how useful it is to your readers? Is it okay to write a post that just give your readers a laugh? Why do the entertaining (funny/quirky/ creative) posts get read and commented on more? How do you find your own style?

Bring your best questions and join us as we share our collective blogging wisdom at the first Savvy Blogging: Lunch and More event. After short introductions, Bob will provide some basic info and resources on blogging, including ways to promote your blog. We break long enough to order lunch at noon and then spend the remaining time in informal discussions on the blog topics and issues of your choosing.

There is no charge for this event. Touchdowns provides the space for free in exchange for a lunch time purchase.

    Marlene,

I am very much looking forward to meeting you. Our paths have not crossed yet.

Blogging is a fun topic to explore because everyone has different issues with starting and maintaining a quality one and that means we can all learn so much from each other.

Sadly, I cannot make it after all. I didn't realize one of my business partners will be in town and is expecting to meet all day. Hope to catch it next time if there is one!

Toni, no problem. I know how crazy schedules can get. We'll be offering more of these. Hope to see you at a future one.

    Bob and Judy,

So sorry this event is full as I am just about to enter the world of blogging and this seems like a great way to find out more about it.

I hope that you sponsor another blogging event in the near future.

Bob and Judy, This was such a valuable event and you both made it "painless" and FUN to boot! I didn't feel like my head was going to explode...you presented alot of practical and useful informaton but it was paced so nicely that I didn't feel overwhelmed by it. I now have a better understanding of the whole blog thing. I really enjoyed meeting you both and look forward to attending more of your events. Judy, you mentioned something about maybe doing an event on "content"...I would love to be put on a wait list for something like that. Thanks again you guys...great event!!! Marlene

@ Kirk: wow, coming from someone with your expertise, that's quite a compliment! Thank you for contributing and sharing yesterday.

@ Marlene: Finally, we got to meet! Glad you got some stuff you could use. Yes, I'll be testing the waters on a separate event focusing solely on content.
