Event description

Would you like to stand out from your competition? Metaphors make a hard to describe product understandable. You become memorable. In this age of too much information, clients will love you for taking time to condense your message. Discover a metaphor that will re-energize your business.

Gabrielle Roth says, “We have the potential to be a full-bodied Bordeaux and yet most of us are content to be Welch’s Grape Juice.”

Bring one metaphor you’re especially fond of. The minute you start looking for them, you’ll see them everywhere. (music lyrics, well-written books and advertising)

We’ll do a couple improvisation exercises to get out of our heads and ready to explore. Then dive into a sensory experience that will reveal more depth and excitement your can share about your product or service.

Come a few minutes early so you can be ready to get the most out of this hour and a half.

What's a meta for? Is that like a meta tag? Do phor and phor = ate? (Phor being how you eat Pho?)(that is, if you eat with a Phork.)
I've always wanted to attend one of your workshops, but they were always "sold out"... improv exercises, the chance to study under the vision of a guru, an Eastside location, two days AFTER my taxes are due... what could be better!?!? -- and, as a storyteller/trainer/writer, I can always use training on metaphors! Good question, what is a meta for? I listen to people who have risen above worn-out cliches and express themselves creatively. You're obviously one of these people David. I look forward to learning from you too. Everyone who comes will turn into their own guru.

When the ghost of boredom stands behind you as you bring new life to words, may the jesters give a toast that will light your world forever!

As far as I know, there is no waiting list Thomas. I've had a few other requests. I'll see how this one goes and maybe host another one in May.

Do you have any metaphors in mind for your business?

Hi Pamela, I have been watching for your events for months and each time find that they are full. good for you!! I want to connect with you because I encounter clients who could benefit from your coaching in how they present themselves (formal presentations, at meetings, over teleconferences, etc.) I'll keep following you and hope we connect! Pamela,

I was just driving to teach a yoga class today thinking of a metaphor for those ancient and sometimes current things in our lives that occupy too much of our time in our waking state.

I don't do it anymore but certainly remember giving too much time to events and circumstances that didn't exactly exalt my state of mind.

Now I know, they are barnacles. When we are entertaining the thoughts that don't make us feel our best we can picture a barnacle, simply allow the visualization to take the place of the thoughts.

There is nothing wrong with barnacles, they are a part of nature. So see them as they are, under water. If you are not underwater either you are not there home or become more comfortable with the actual live barnacle the creator made, making no judgements about it...letting it be even if it's attached to your brain.

Everything visible has it's invisible partner or mirror....welcome to the universe!

~~namaste~~meaning, I honor the best within you, even if the best right now is covered in barnacles. Cindyyoga guide

Love it, thanks for sharing Cindy. And as Marianne Williamson says, "Everything visible was once an invisible thought."

I'm glad you're on the planet honoring the best in all of us, barnacles and all! What a gift...
